Rabbits are induced ovulators.
For most animals, like humans, cattle, and dogs, there's a regular schedule in which eggs are released from the ovaries. If the egg isn't out of the ovary yet, the animal can't get pregnant.
For induced ovulators, the act of mating triggers the egg to leave the ovary. These animals can get pregnant practically any time. Rabbits might breed less reliably in some seasons like winter, but you don't need to watch them for signs of heat.

Rabbits don't go in heat. They are ready and willing all the time. Have you seen the pictures of Noah's Ark loaded with rabbits? They weren't kidding!
