I have six puppies that I need to get rid of. If I can't find anyone to take what is the procedure that animal shelters normally go by? Do they charge a fee? I'm not an irresponsible pet owner by the way, a stray jumped my fence and knocked my dog up.

Instead of chowing down on is food really quickly, he's eating over an hour or so. The only reason it concerns me is that last week he had some diaherra and threw up once. I figured it was just something he ate. Then yesterday his diaherra came back. I'm taking him to the vet on Friday...Should I hurry up and take him in sooner? He's a border collie/pit bull. 20 lbs. I feed him purina one puppy 2 cups a day. no human but I have been giving him some rice along with his pup chow for the diaherra. hes acting normal.

http://www.uncaged.co.uk/iams.htm look @ this site. Until recently i had no idea that a pet food company would be capable of such cruelty to animals. I no longer buy any iams products.
Just thought i would say. What animal lover would support a company like that.

I've been shopping around. The cheapest I found was $140. Are they worth it? I have 2 cats, so I'm constantly changing the litter box.

I have two male cats – 2 and 7. Thing is, are my “boys” ready for another cat? One minute they’re lovey dovey, the next minute the younger cat is terrorizing the older one. Is this normal? Is the younger one trying to assert his dominance? Is this a male thing? I know that my older cat would be welcoming to another cat (he’s very loving and maternal), but I’m not sure about the younger one (he’s very affectionate and feisty, and loves all my attention). Sometimes he tries to kick the older cat off my bed in the middle of the night. Would he be jealous of a new kitty?

Every single day my cat cries and she cries and will not stop. She cries for these treats she was started on when she was little and she has never stopped. She can eat one after another without vomiting. My mom must give her 3 a day. Is there anything I can do to prevent her from meowing soo much. And if she does not eat the treat she won't eat all day. She is basically aneroxic!! She is sooo skinny

I have two beagle puppies. They are around 9 months and still are pretty hard to train. I understand that beagles are one of the most difficult breeds to train, So i was wondering if there was anyone who has had or has beagles and what things they did differently then normal to train their crazy yet loveable beagle. thank you!!

I have two cats, one older 14 and one 3 years old, both spayed females. The younger cat has taken to harassing my older cat. She sits right over her when she eats so we separated their food dishes and put my older cats in my bedroom. Then she would head her off at the pass so to speak when she was headed for the litter box. We had my older cat in my bedroom so she had her own space without being pounced on and chased. Now the younger cat is weaseling her way into my bedroom too. she will go in there and eat the food of the older cat and has started peeing on the floor in my room. she has peed in two other areas in the house and then just yesterday she peed in my toddler sons bed. My older cat had been in that room more and more since the younger cat is worming her way into my bedroom, aka older kittys safe space. She is very dominant and aggressive towards the older cat and now is peeing everywhere. What can I do?

I've had my cat for a little over a year now. I got from a friend of a friend and apparently she was abandoned by her momma cat. So she was out on the streets very young. She is about a year and a month or 2 old now and she can be pretty aggressive towards me and other people except for my mom which is weird. Even taking her to the vet is impossible. 4 people have to hold her down just to check her or clip her nails. When i just try to pet her or hold she'll try to bite or scratch me and hiss. I don't know why then sometimes she'll be so sweet and rub against my legs and actually let me touch her. Is my cat bi-polar or something? Please help!

My landloard has two cocktiels outside in a small wire cage with just one bird box in there for "protection" and for nesting. Lately, we've experience several days of temperature just below 40 degrees Farenh. It's it too cold for the birds out there?

I'm basically looking for someone who knows FOR SURE, what the temperature limitations (max and minimum) are for those type of birds.

Please help me build a strong case so that when I bring it to his attention I might convince him to protect them better or maybe someday he can give them to someone else.

My cats are so staticky that they crackle every time I pet them. I was just petting one on my bed and the static electricity actually _sparked_ - like with a visible blue spark on his coat. I do have a ceramic electric heater in the room, but holy crap ... don't really want to set a cat on fire while petting it.

My dog is a chocolate lab and springer spainel and she is scared of all loud noises like a flash of a camera, a thunderstorm, and fireworks. She shakes, drools, and pants(however you spell it) and hides in one spot and wont move. Is there anything I can do to prevent that?

Why are breeds of dogs not considered as different species when all dog breeds have a wide array of differences from each other and from other species of dogs such as wolves, foxes, hyenas, etc.

Our dog ate some truffles and since he is very small (7 lbs.) I tried to induce vomitting by giving him a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide. It's been over a half hour now and he still hasn't thrown up. Now my fiance and I are worried he's going to die from the peroxide. Does anyone know if peroxide harms dogs if digested? Thanks in advance.

There is a nest of owls outside of my backyard that is filled with baby owls. Now one of them is following me everywhere I go! What do I do? Obviously, can't shoot it because
1. it's against the law
2. i don't even have anything close to a firearm (except some tiny rubber bands)
3. it's too cute
