My dog is a chocolate lab and springer spainel and she is scared of all loud noises like a flash of a camera, a thunderstorm, and fireworks. She shakes, drools, and pants(however you spell it) and hides in one spot and wont move. Is there anything I can do to prevent that?

This is not uncommon. Many times owners thinking that they are comforting their dogs/puppies accidently reinforce the behavior. Basically do not comfort the dog-ie petting, holding etc. Dogs will do anything that gives them positive feedback-ie petting. Ignore her during these episodes, praise her if she stops. Try giving her a special blanket or toy that may comfort and distract her. If you give her a blanket, you should try sleeping with yourself-to put your "smell" on it. If it smells like you she most likely will feel comforted by it.

Some dogs are so bad that their owners must give them a mild tranquilizer to calm them before the storm or thunderstorm hits

Animals, like human beings, have diverse personalities. perhaps your infant is fullyyt a worried little concern, and there is no longer too lots you're able to do approximately it. To strengthen her up attempt taking her to obedience instructions, to get her thoughts off issues and allow her concentration on making you satisfied (that's what canines like terrific). retaining her busy by using coaching her new issues will enhance her self assurance ranges, and being waiting to have interplay with different animals her very own age additionally should help lots. some issues to stay faraway from.. If she's petrified of something, do no longer purely quickly %. her up and take her faraway from the situation. which will instruct her she would not ought to handle her problems and make her worse. do no longer rigidity her to do something she incredibly would not choose to, yet save encouraging her to be brave and supply her a lot of love and interest. be certain you in no way "hit" her, or yell at it if it does something incorrect. If she does something incredibly undesirable provide her an corporation "No.", positioned her in holiday, or possibly provide them a small smack with a newspaper on the nostril. do no longer do a land up or something, purely a small faucet. The noise would be the punishment, no longer the actual hit. be certain you're continuously consistent with your canines and it particularly is education. in case you permit her get away with peeing interior the dwelling house because you're drained and don't experience like disciplining it, don't be mad while she does it back.. it is your fault for no longer coaching her.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/6ljiI

If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.

It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

De-Sensitize them. The more they are around it, the more they get used to it. Unfortunately in your case, the more the merrier. It'll be rough and they'll be scared, but they'll learn when you're making loud noises and they're not being hurt and everything is fine................that it's ok and they don't need to be afraid. Little by little, don't bombard them. Also, prepare them....start out with little noises and work up to it, don't just go get a pot or pan and smack it.....little noises to big noises....try playing with them at the same time.

hi my chihuahua is the same even if there is yelling going on she shakes like a leaf! I usually try and hold her and stroke her and reassure her and move her onto my bed she feels very safe and secure there.I think if you make too big a deal they just get more nervous and I dont think forcing them to listen to loud noise will help.Maybe train her to go to her bed (if she has one)when there is loud noise so that she feels secure
