I would first try for the Care Credit card.. It is no-interest card to be used for veterinary care, and it allows up to 18 months to repay.. all of the vets in my state accept this card..
You can apply on-line, and know within minutes if you have been approved.. All it requires is a steady source of income.

For veterinary care, go to this page, and click on "proffessions', and scroll down to 'veterinary'.

It doesn't cost anything to try, and only takes minutes to fill it out and get an answer.

Are you talking about buying a dog? If so, no one is going to help you pay for a dog. Once you have the dog, there are a lot more costs to go through, so if you can't afford it, you probably shouldn't get it.

Or are you talking about vet fees because the dog's been injured? You might try possibly taking the dog to your local animal shelter and asking if they could recommend anything to help you. A lot of shelter workers are animal activists and might not want to see the dog have to get put down. They could possibly help you.

I really recommend pet insurance. You pay a moderate fee usually every year, and then if an accident happens to your dog that requires extensive vet costs, the insurance will help pay for it, or even cover it.

Assistance for what? Purchasing one?

If that is the case than try Petland
here look for a local Petland
http://www.petland.com/FindPetlandStores/FindPetlandStoresUnitedStates.htm
at Petland you can "finance" your dog. Call them for more info, they have payment plans on your pup. Haha I know it sounds funny huh? But they do and a lot of people use it because not many people want to pay all of it upfront plus Petland, does their shots, and all that first puppy stuff for free!
OR
try

they might be cheap.

If you mean vet care try getting your little one Pet Insurance http://www.google.com/search?q=pet+insurance&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

I know purchasing a full breed can be expensive no matter what kind!
