If I was to get another kitten when I have a 6 month old cat already, are the chances they won't get on well quite high? I was thinking about getting another as some fools down the road from me haven't speyed their cat and now it's pregnant. I said I'd take one if it got on well with my current cat. I have the space and time to take another. My current cat has an appointment to be speyed end of this month so once the new kittens are ready, shall I risk it or not?

Ever since I was a child I've wanted a cat.. I'm pretty sure that I want one now, no matter what other people say. I'm just worried. First of all we live on the fourth floor. What if it jumps from an open window or smth.. Also, will it poop everywhere? And will it be clean to touch and stuff? Do I have to bathe it everyday? I'm a kinda ocd-ic when it comes to hygine, so i'm worried that it'll give me allergies and be dirty and give me an infection and stuff. Also what if it has sex with the neighbours's cats.. Will I have to like take care of his children- or worse bring the female cat he impreganted to live with us? Where will it sleep, and will it be annoying in the night? What will it eat? Will it get bored?

My dog is etremely scared, all the time, he always recoils when I see, he even does it when I see him eating, you would think hes abused! Even when I holding him or petting him! Is there anyway to get him to trust me more?

Money is tight right now and bedding is expensive so I was wondering if I could use the shredded paper that I have. I shred my mail as it comes in and things with my name and such. I know newspapers aren't safe becasue of all the ink they use and magazines aren't safe either. But what about just regular everyday junk mail. Or does anyone have other suggestion for bedding that is cheap or free for an adult guinea pig?

Help, I am at my wits' end with trying to toilet train our puppy. I just feel as if no progress is being made. I can stand outside with him for as much as 20 mins then he'll come back inside and mess on the floor. My house smells, I'm ready to weep, poor little puppy must wonder what is going on! Any clues borne of your own experience?

Our two cats (females, littermates) were abandoned by their cat mother at birth, so they were fostered along with their siblings by a human mother. One of them in particular is fond of "kneading bread" with her paws on my chest and she acts like she's in an ecstatic trance when she does this. I'm confused, because I thought cats had to learn this from their cat mothers.

As a side note, both of them love to have their stomachs and chests scratched and patted, sometimes for literally hours at a time and usually when they're on our laps.

On New Years Eve I was over my friends house where we were having a party and had cooked a turkey. I was outside smoking a cigarette and one of my friends came outside and told me that my pitbull had swallowed a turkey bone before any of them could stop him. At first I didn't believe him, but he told me straight faced that he was serious. I called the dog out and stuck my finger down his throat until he threw up all over me and I saw the bone come out. It was one of the most disgusting things that I have ever done, but I didn't think twice about it because I didn't want the bone to hurt his digestive tract. I was just wondering if all of you dog owners would have done the same.
