I once made the remark that if my husband tried to make me get rid of my dogs, I'd really miss him.
Needless to say, I got into deep trouble with my in-laws for a very long time. But...someone who really loves you would never ask you to give up something you love so much.
What do you think?

Is breeding and showing all you do with your time? I mean, from what I understand it's both very expensive and time consuming, so where does the money to live off of come from? I know somebody's going to take this the wrong way, but it's not meant that way at all, I'm just wondering do y'all have "real" jobs? Is it a matter of breeding is a "hobby" for stay at home mommy/daddy breeders?

I started thinking cuz I just got a puppy and my GOD is she hell to take care of. I love it, don't get me wrong, but I haven't had a proper night's sleep since she came home with me. I'm not sure I could immagine have multiple puppies as well as females that go into heat and need to be kept away from the boy dogs.

Also, what kind of education would be needed to be a breeder, beyond the dog world stuff?

My dog ran awy from the doggie sitters, and she was gone for about 9 months, and we finally found her, and now she is living with us again, and sometmes, I'll do something, like put on some lotion that I had before she ran away, and its like she'll jump up, likes she remembers that smell.

His is a 1 year old lab - he has had many toys but that doesn't stop him chewing anything else he can find. It doesn't make any difference if he has been walked for hours a few times that day & the non-chew spray stuff doesn't work.
I have stopped buying him toys recently (even the ultra "strong" virtually "indestructable"ones (kongs ball of rope knots etc) as he destroys them totally, sometimes within the first 10 minutes & sometimes it takes him a couple of days. He has chewed his beds too so now at night when he is in the kitchen all he has is a blanket (which is ripped to shreads). He doesn't have any toys or even a bed anymore which I feel bad about but I can't keep giving him things to destroy within minutes!
I thought it used to be because he was teething & when his teeth had grown it would stop, but it hasn't.
Any advice please, I feel like I have tried everything.
Thanks.

That's all there is to say about it. She is spoiled pretty bad, which I will admit is my wife and my fault, but now we need to de-spoil her because hopefully there will be the firstborn on the way soon. Anyway, she always slept on the bed with us (she's a Pomeranian, not a great dane by any means), she's been potty trained since day 1, and she's never really left alone. The problem is, if she doesn't get her way, she will bark..... and bark..... and bark. Normal dogs would eventually give up, but not her. She just jumped off the bed and then barked for 35 minutes to get back up until I took her and locked her up. She will pee outside and I sit there and wait for more than 10 minutes waiting for #2, but as soon as I bring her in, she runs in the living room and goes. I tried the thing where you sit them next to their poop and make them smell it. She sat there..... and then ate it. She has no problems making a mess and laying in it either. What is wrong with her!! She is psycho

I have a 6 month old kitten and I just changed her food from Purina Kitten chow to Purina For all age cats (which says it includes kittens)... Now she has liquid stools but still remains playful and happy. Also, I know its odd but she's had strings and hairballs hanging out of her rear . I with held her food for 24 hours and reintroduced her half kitten food/half all age food - still the same problem, (diarrhea and hairballs from her hole). Any solutions?

I have a red lored amazon, she is 4 years old and such a sweetie. She can't talk but she does make a little "thank you" noise.
Does anyone have a Red lored that talks? Or just a red lored in general? Just wondering... ;)

My 2 cats Samantha( Sam ) and Charlene ( Charlie ) gave birth at the same time. Sam lost a kitten 3 days after its birth. Sam had 4 and Charlie 5 , Charlie is losing a lot of weight feeding the 5,

My problem is that Sam is taking charlie's babies and feeding them while Charlie doesn't seem to care.

My question is , is this normal behaviour for cats?
Will charlie be affected?
Does it happen that a mother cat will stop feeding her young?

My bunny is a 4 month old polish dwarf rabbit. I dont see her often as I'd like to, and I hear rabbits are social creatures. but I also dont want them to fight. I have a doe, and she is very nice and sweet. I'd be getting another female.

Will my rabbit prefer another dwarf rabbit, or could I get a lop or a lionmaine rabbit?
