I have 3 children under the age of 4 and I was wondering what is the best kind of dog to adopt. I am not a big animal lover, but I am willing to put it aside for my kids.

Since I'm thinking about adopting a puppy, and I did a little research and it tells me that puppies usually urinate every 4 hours and need to be housetrained and etc. So I was wondering, while I'm sleeping, if I would have to wake up and take the puppy out to do its thing. Or if I could just sleep through the night. Thank You :]

i love to have a Huskey dog. The problem is that i live in an apartment with my parents in Palo alto and they don't let me bring a dog inside the house. What should i do? There is no way that i could satisfay them. Can i make a house for him inside the parking? Iam not even quiet sure whether to buy a dog or not. Is it hard to train it? How much time and money do i need to spend for it ?

Helo everyone, I would like to know if my friend is crazy or not, he sleeps in his Hot snake room!!! He currently keeps a Malaysian King Cobra, Monocled Cobra, New Guinea Taipan, Mojave Rattler, 2 Copperheads, "Gabino" Viper, Rhino and a tree viper. Is he crazy?

We have adopted from a rescue a little ways from us. He's really big, and they say he's about 10 weeks old, Im thinking he's probaly 4 months or so.

Anyway, anyone own this type and have some advice on potty training/housebreaking this strong-headed, free-willed, intelligent mix of breed??? lol
I have looked up the sites, I want advice please, not links to things I have seen.
We dont have him yet, we get him in the morning:))

They have an anal glad that has to be expressed by the vet, if not it expresses itself and really really stinks. Has anyone expirienced this? Can the vet remove the gland?

My dog quit eating over a month ago. They think she got some fungus in her lungs so they took blood to verify. They gave me meds to give her for that in case it's positive. She absolutely WILL NOT eat at home. However, every time we bring her to the vet, they say she's eating fine there. We can't keep her meds down because she wont eat at home and the meds upset her empty stomach. But every time we take her back to the vet, she eats everything they give her. It's not the food, we tried that. I don't understand what her issue is, and why she would eat there but not at home. I'm at wits end. After 3 visits to the vet and over $500, i'm going nuts, I just want her to eat!

I don’t know what bit my cat yesterday this morning he was limping I thought he jumped on his leg wrong, I thought it was broken I toke him to the vet they shaved his leg and found a pretty bad bite mark on the top and bottom of his leg. The vet than got angry with me and "all the other stupid ignorant people who don't get the pets vaccinated" this is my 1st cat and he was a stay I didn’t know about the proper shots guess I am stupid he proceeded to tell me that by law he had to call animal control to have him quarantine for 6 months if he has rabies they will put him to sleep the vet told me he could not give him shots now I was too upset to ask when I want to make this right and get him shots can I do it now or do I have to wait 6 months please help and say a prayer for Keister my cat :( He is 8 months old, 12 and a half pounds male no previos shots

my dog is about 13lbs, and she usually eats 3/4cup dog food (usually purina or pedigree). We also give her some veggies..she LOVES steamed broccoli. She also likes whole wheat bread, some cheese (just a little as a treat.. quarter sized piece), we let her lick clean the yogurt cups, little bits of hard boiled egg, and lots of fruits: banana, orange, pear. (no grapes) We give her some cooked pork bones sometimes..no chicken bones. and ofcourse some chicken meat. And maybe once a week, we give her brown rice instead of her dog food.

She doesn't really like her dog food, but we give it to her because we know its a balanced nutrition, but as treats we like to give her bits of these other foods. My family eats a healthy diet, so the food we give her is healthy as well. whole grains, veges, fruits, meat.. is this good for her??

my dog seems to lie down, and lets the other dog comes to her. She does this when she wants to meet other dogs. She lies down, and then they sniff and meet. She is a friendly/lovable dog. I am just curious to why dogs do this?

I just got a 2 month old baby rabbit and its been having diarrhea! I've searched the net and from what I've found it seems that diarrhea in baby rabbits is usually fatal and they die in 24-48 hours... If anyone knows any methods of curing this please respond ASAP. I took out the alfalfa and it did nothing. I'm very concerned. Any help would be great!
