I have to agree with Yahoo on this one.

The most humane thing you can do to help an ailing animal to the other side, is to have a vet put her to sleep. Cost you about $10.00.

Rats don't catch the human common cold, they get Mycoplasmosis.

If you care to, you can have the vet check out the illness and prescribe medication for her. But it sounds like this would too much of an effort for you.

The lack of treatment due to your ignorance on the care of pet rats, and your lack of compassion to her and her illness will lead to pneumonia (if it hasn't already) and that is the point of no return.

Just do what's right by her and then don't get any more pets.

Why would you wnat to get rid of a sick rat? How about ask a vet what kind of treatment he'd do, if he doesn't want to handle it, maybe try another or have the poor thing put to sleep.
