my dog seems to lie down, and lets the other dog comes to her. She does this when she wants to meet other dogs. She lies down, and then they sniff and meet. She is a friendly/lovable dog. I am just curious to why dogs do this?

What a loving dog! She is deffinately submissive... but that's not bad. She is gentle. I would love to be in world that I could welcome that way. Trust her, has she ever had a nervous reaction to a person or dog? She is special.

This is most likely a sign that you have a dog, that if were in a pack would be at the bottom of the list. This is not a bad thing at all- it just means that she is very submissive and does not want a conflict with another dog when another one approaches her. It's her giving the other dog the benefit of the doubt that they are more dominate that she is and she isn't going to challenge that authority.

She's a submissive dog rather than an aggressive dog.

I believe its because she is being submissive to the other dogs. She wants to show them that she means them no harm. Thats a nice trait to have especially if she is a big dog.

Dogs are pack animals. She is being submissive to the other dogs. It's perfectly normal behavior.

Hey hey, I taught my 1yo yorkie dez to stop barking at night in just 2 days. No problem at all. All we had to use was the Dog discipline magic system that was on google.

Sounds like she is just submissive. Maybe also at the age where she is ready to find a mate?
