The worms are pretty bad, she was vomiting them up and pooping them out, but now they're just coming with her poop. It's one day after she took Drontal.

ask strangers, who aren't qualified, for advice. Why don't they go to a vet first & discuss it later? Please don't tell me its because they can't afford it. They should have considered that before they took on the responsibility. These messages are driving me crazy. I can't believe how many stupid, irresponsible pet owners there are. Amazing so many animals survive their domestic experiences. No wonder we have thousands of poor, injured strays wandering the country. They ran away from home so they didn't have live with their stupid owners. If you get a pet, do the right thing. If you adopted a baby you wouldn't say you can't afford a doctor if it were sick. If you think a pet is any different, then don't get one. It's a living breathing thing that can't live on love alone. It needs health care, consideration & common sense to survive.

My cat was just diagnosed with struvite. The vet will be getting a prescription in, but I am hoping to do this with an over-the-counter (read: less costly!) diet plan.

Don't worry, I am willing to pay for the prescription diet if need be. But, are there any non-prescription cat foods that work for this?

Any other hints on dealing with struvite would be great too. :-)

Thanks!

high mantinence, with all the cricket powderings and all, so how well would 1 survive if it live on its own, in a place like houston texas (where I live) would she be able to survive the heat(100 degrees) and the cold( 20 degrees) and the heavy storms, and such? - remember this is just out of curiosity, don't worry.

He is a 3 year old german shepherd. He is very sweet annd affecionate to me and my family as well as strangers and other dogs. Sometimes when I am petting him and talking to him he does a low growl and seems scared If I play with him roughly he never bited me hard and is very gentle. I do not like the growling and want it to stop. He does it when he has a bone too. If I try to scold him or hit him to make him stop he just growls louder. I have taken his toys away when he growls at me and he never bites me but Ido not know what to do. I have tried pining him on his back to show him I am the dominate one but he just keeps growling. What can I do?

I am a new fish owner and have a ten gallon tank. I have four fish and they are still alive and doing well. (two gouramis and two smaller fish) The smaller ones seem to be doing fine. However, one of the blue gouramis is acting extremely aggressive to the other. I think this may be a female because she has a slight bulge to her stomach and the male (I believe is a male) seems to be the one who is aggressive. He has the poor female stuck in the corner where she often sits. I have a smaller tank..... Not sure what size either 2.5 gallon or 5. After some careful reading a lot of articles I have heard the recommendation to separate so he does not kill her. Now I have a filter and a heater set up and all the decorations in the ten gallon tank. The questions I have are would a 2.5 or 5 gallon tank be a sufficient size for my female gouramis? And do I need a bubbler and what else may I need for the tank? Should I buy more fish for the tank as well? What fish would I buy?

M'kay, I'm raising this little baby mouse that I got to feed to my gecko (He didn't eat it) and I'm wondering if anybody has some advice. I'm feeding him every two hours with milk mixed with cream, and he's eating well. He's got soft, filky fur, is going to the bathroom by himself, and his eyes just opened. Any advice on what I could do to better care for him?

I have a small male lhasa opso. He has always had really bad eye boogers (for lack of a better term). He has them clumped on the fur about a 1/2 inch under his eye. I always see him pawing at them and i try to get them out with a tissue but they are too embeded in his fur and he hates when i try to get rid of them. I need to snip the clump off but he hates siscors and i am afraid i might nip him or something. i plan on taking him to the groomer tomorrow but is there anyway to prevent this problem or take care of it at home?

I am looking for comprehensive information about the Sphynx breed either from a website or book. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance
