I know about the humane society but I wanna look around alittle bit more and see what I can find... so you know any stores that sell them!?! I have only found one store but they didnt have any baby rats.

instead of looking at the stores, consider searching for an actual rescue, not a humane shelter. There is one by me that is specifically for rats, and I know they're all around. If you can't find a rat particular rescue, try an exotic pet rescue. Or try petfinder.com. Although I'm not sure if they're in Toronto, too. Good luck!

i am sorry i dont have a answer to your question but im so glad your taking a rat. i have a pet rat and it is so cute i love him to death. you will be really happy with your new animal friend. remember old rats are great too. its best to get one that is older but was raised by a family not by a pet store. we got ours from a local small animal and fish store. some one found him. he ran up to the people and they knew he had to have been some ones pet. he loves to be handled. his name is friday becasue we got him on friday the thirteenth. we saved his life because that night if they didnt find him a home they were going to be forced to feed him to a big mean snake. well haha sorry didnt mean to go on about his whole life story but ya congratulations.!!!
