Well, I would not want to get a Cockatiel. They are very messy and through food all over. Also very noisy. They can bite with all get out. If you know how to handle and care for one well maybe. But a mouse. They are cute. I had rat for a while and he was a great pet! Very loving. Just so you give love back. So I would pick a mouse just so they are in good health etc.

It depends on what you are looking for in a pet. A cockatiel requires a lot of care and attention, or else it will become very moody and mean. A mouse requires less care, but their cages start to smell after a while if you don't clean them reguarly, and they aren't that sociable with humans- for the most part. There are certainly exeptions.

I have two cockatiels and they are messy as all get out. They fling seeds every where and they get feathers all over everything when they shake and flap their wings. A mouse can be kept in a cage and put in a rolling ball when when it is time to clean the cage out. I would get a mouse.

I love mice because they're very gentle with humans, but they only live to about 1-2 years. Cockatiels are fun also, but you have to do ALOT more training with birds than mice.

mouses are rodents and do not make good pets.
All cockatiels do is squack and sh*t and then you must clean the cages.
Get a real pet a dog or a cat.
