some not so nice guy trapped my 2 cats and dropped them off at the local animal shelter which i like to refer to as the kitty jail well to make a long story short before i got there to rescue my babies the shelter gave them vaccinations and exposed them to a bunch of sickly kitties and after i brought them home after 1 weeks time they developed kitty colds and gave it to my other 2 cats is this normal after going to a shelter to pick something like this up ? has anyone else had this problem?

I'm still having difficulty. After many months, my dog is hosebroken when it comes to solid feces, however I continue to find any piece of cloth/carpet perpetually smelling of urine. how do I stop her from peeing in the house.
What are your thoughts on a absorbant pad... allowing her to pee on the 'puppy pad' and eventually moving this outside...

also how do i get rid of the smell in fabrics?

I'm asking this because my neighbor has four of them. I must admit, these dogs are a little to weird for my taste. No offense to greyhound dog lovers...

Sometimes I'll be sitting outside in the back yard and glance over and one of those greyhounds is walking around on it's front 2 paws with it's back legs lifted completely off the ground! I didn't even know a dog could do that. Also, I've seen the male dog lift its leg on the females head and I've seen one of them drinking the urine as it was coming out of the other dog. Plus, one of them is always climbing the fence, like I imagine a cat would. It comes over and starts trying to dominate my dogs. I have 3 dogs, one is 90 lbs, one is about 80 lbs and the other one is 50 lbs. These greyhounds can't weigh more than 10 lbs, soaking wet.

Are they always this weird or are my neighbors just an exception?

I adopted two (what I though) were female cats from my boyfriend's cousin and because the larger cat was so fluffy we did not notice that she was really a he. We didn't have the money to get them fixed right away and when they were in heat we thought nothing of it. But now the one cat is pregnant and they never go outside so the only logical explanation is that her brother knocked her up! Does anybody know about health problems that may exist when this happens?

I have an 8 month old kittie, bought her home last year in August. Shes been litter trained, and knew where to go to make her deposits. Today i noticed for the first time, she urinated on the carpet and on the kitchen floor. I change her box when its dirty. What does this mean? Is she sick, or is she telling me something?

Thanks.

I bought him 4 days ago and he is 2 months old. We found lice on him the first day. Took him to the vet the second day and it was traumatic to him and then had to give him a bath which he also did NOT like. Since then he doesn't want us to hold him (can't blame him). But I want to know how much is normal considering he is still new to us or did we traumatize him that much? Should we not try to pick him up and leave him alone? Or should we still try to pet him to reassure him and prevent him from feeling isolated?

I have experience breeding rodents and they normally have their pups during the evening or early morning. I just wondered if dogs do the same, as my neighbour's dog is expecting pups soon.

I realize Italian Greyhounds have high metabolisms but I actually don't exercise him that much, but he's still always hungry. Whenever he sees people food he goes berserk, but it's not like I can give him some and he'll be fine, he'll want more... he's never satisfied.
