Are you kidding me? You actually have to ask this? Labs are wonderful dogs and are very full of energy. They need room to run and lots of it. If you don't have a large yard, walking is a must at least 3 times daily for a minimum of 30-45 minutes each walk. They need a lot of chew toys and bones as well. A very good dog food made specially for large breed dogs. A lot of human interaction!!! Labs are very sociable dogs and love human contact. They can get very depressed with out it. Brushing once a week. I also recommend a raw egg once a week for a healthy coat. You have to leave water out for them at all times, I have noticed this breed drinks water constantly because of their high energy. Please do more research on the breed. This really should have been done before getting one, I can't express that enough.

1. Take it to a vet regularly and whenever it has a health issue.
2. Be sure that it has all of its shots and is dewormed.
3. Get it spayed or neutered as soon as it is old enough.
4. Provide a good-quality dog food and plenty of fresh water.
5. Provide a comfortable place to sleep.
6. Housetrain it.
7. Be sure that it gets plenty of exercise.
8. Be sure that it has ID tags and is licensed if required in your area.
9. Have it microchipped so that if it ever gets lost it can be easily identified.
10. Take it to training classes so it is socialized to people, different situations, and other animals.
11. Never let it run loose unsupervised.
12. Clean up after it when you take it off your property.
13. Do not neglect it--give it plenty of attention and love.
14. Don't leave it outside when it is very hot or cold out.

Good luck!
