I have a fox terrier that sheds soooo badly. I bathe him and brush him, and I have fed him top of the line dog food, and he still sheds. If he shakes hs body I can watch the hair float in the air around him. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We got a new cat about three months ago. And hes really sweet, and gets along with our other cat. But he doesnt like my mom. When i leave to go somewhere, he sits by the door and meows, even if its just the bathroom, or the basement. If im out for more then 2 hours, when i get home he follows me around the house and meows until i pick him up and pet him. but he doesnt seem to want any attention from my mom. why is that?

When I get my dog a chew toy instead of chewing on it like a normal dog, she destroys it! I gave here a rope with a ball on each end and the next day the balls were ripped into a thousand pieces (literally) and the rope bat torn in half. And it was about 3/4 of an inch thick! She even breaks off the branches on my trees! She also rips up all my shoes even when I'm wearing them. If i push her away she'll think i'm playing and start chewing harder causing me to kick her away. But instead of leaving me alone she comes back trying to chew on me again!

Not only does she chew everything but when I tell to stop breaking things she doesn't take me seriously and starts playing with me.

And sometimes if she's muddy and jumps on me I push her off and she gets mad and starts growling at me!

What should I do? Should I get a different dog? She's a mix: Half Pembroke Welsh Corgy, quarter bull dog, and quarter black Labrador. But she is very cute...

My wife left her dog in the car with the windows part way down and some lady asked her why she brought a mean dog to town. She tried to stick her hand in the window (with a toddler) and he growled at them. She said he whined when he saw the kid. He loves kids, but is very protective of the truck. How would you have reacted?

We have an 11th month old lab puppy and have been looking at getting a smaller dog recently. He surprised me with a Boston Terrier and I am such an animal lover, but I am not in love with this one.

I was bathing her and discovered that she is covered in fleas. She is 8 weeks old and I don't think this is very healthy. I am not sure what the breeder will do "refund" wise, but I am not wanting to keep this puppy.

Please do not lecture on responsibility as this is totally not the case. Any suggestions and/or ways people have dealth with similar issues would be greatly appreciated.

My 9 month old weimerianer puppy just got fixed last week and he now has this extra skin where his "manhood" used to be. I've always had female dogs so I am just wondering if this is normal.

hi i just pawned my car to get a pit out of the vets office it had belonged to a friend of mine this friend was going thru a really bad time his wife has major health problems , he had just lost his job then his pitbull caught parvo so he went to the vet with him the vet didnt ask him anything concerning treatment just went ahead and gave the dog a antiobiotic shot then told the guy he couldnt get his dog back till he paid for this visit and also told the guy that he wasnt going to do anything else for the dog until a 200.00 deposit was put down so the dog was in the vets office for a week with no other medical treatment not even an IV for fluids then the vet told my friend that he better come up with the money by the next day or he would sell the dog and sue him and if he couldnt sell it he would put it down and still sue him do you think this vet was fair or just a money hungry *ss-h*le

I would like a small breed dog to keep my 80lb dog company while I'm away. I don't want a breed with many genetic health problems or one that is fragile.

It sounds wierd, but my cat loves playing in water. He's about 7 months old and he routinely dumps his water dish from playing with it. I've tried getting him a weighted down dish that he couldn't dump, but he played in the water until it was all gone. He also likes playing with the toilet water. Please help! I'm not sure what to do and am worried about him getting dehydrated. On top of that, it's annoying because he makes a mess and he often keeps me up at night the noises of his playing in the dish. Thanks!!

I finally got a horse. Her name is Queen Odeas Laray and I got her today. But the thing is is that we dont have our fence up, so we had to leave her with my moms friend. So, anybody know where i can find a good sturdy horse fence that looks good too, but that is cheap?

Microchipping is recommended for both cats and dogs as a permanent and safe form of identification. In some states it is compulsory at 12 weeks of age, or when they go to a new home. Unfortunately, many family pets are euthanased every day because they cannot be identified. Microchips cannot be altered and do not fade over time, whereas tags and collars can easily be lost. The microchip is injected under the skin between the shoulder blades and remains there for life, ready to be identified by a special scanner and your pet promptly returned to you if lost. Ask your vet for more information on microchipping.
