My 9 month old weimerianer puppy just got fixed last week and he now has this extra skin where his "manhood" used to be. I've always had female dogs so I am just wondering if this is normal.

It's normal. When neutered young, the testicles haven't grown to their full size, so there's less skin left when they're removed. Once they're older, there's more internal tissue to remove, and it leaves more external tissue. Some of it should go away, but he may always have a small flap down there. It's nothing to be concerned with.

Yes, this is normal. When a male dog is neutered, they take out the testicles, which are the sperm producing organs inside that skin. There is no reason to cut all the skin off and cause unneeded pain for the dog so they just leave the skin. It will eventually shrink up but it doesn't completely go away.

i'm happy which you circulate to maintain the dogs. It did not look the owner became attracted to him to any extent further. do not comprehend how anybody might desire to easily not elect a dogs that they had for 4 years. 60% of male canines will stop marking as quickly as they are neutered. whilst adult males are neutered at a youthful age they don't mark in any respect.

Sounds like how one of male's was ater his neutering. Eventually it will shrink back. At least my dog's did and he was like 10 yrs old when he was neutered. It looked funny for awhile (like an empty sack) but it was better than what my male cat looked like after his neutering... poor thing looked like they just whacked 'em off and he had a raw spot and walked like he'd just gotten off a horse. Poor thing couldn't even sit down he'd have to sprawl out on his tummy. Of the two, my dog seemed to do better with it, recovery-wise than my cat did.

No. My Miniature Pinscher is 7/8 years old(adopted him so don't know exact age)and all he has is a who-ha. It is gone away(where the twins were). You wouldn't even know that anything use to be there.

It should tighten up to a degree- more than what it is now. It is normal. Plus it may be swollen from surgery.

There will be a flap of skin where the testicles used to be...eventually it will shrink down to almost nothing...it takes about a year.

It should tighten up as he grows. He still has baby skin.
