My guinea pig's name is Melody. She is about a year old. I have recently purchased another female guinea pig, but the two of them kept fighting so I've decided to return her. Despite the return, I would like to try to find another guinea pig for Melody, but I don't want to repeat the past. If you have two or more guinea pigs living happily together please tell me how you did it. Thank you!

I have a male standard poodle who really needs new dog food. He is 4 years old. Right now he is eating Hill's Science Diet but he really hates it. Sadly everything else we've tried he's turned his nose up at. Any good brands of dog food to let him try?

I am thinking that I may breed my Westie. She is a little over 1 yr, she is friendly, loving to all, energetic, etc. She is very healthy, I have heard, however that breeding them causes the female's personality to change after giving birth to her litter. Is this in fact true? I love her just the way that she is. I wouldn't want to take the chance of changing her personality even a little bit. I've looked everywhere and spoken with numerous vets over the phone, and no one can give me a straight answer, and there is nothing about their "personality" change after giving birth. Anyone out there know if her personality will change after having babies? Thanks to all! :)

One of my cats threw up a thick white goo a couple times, and today another cat did. They aren't running a fever, and are only throwing up like once a day. I can't figure out what it is?

My best friend had a dog named Piffany and she totally screwed up on her part as being the caretaker. She never took her dog to the vet. not even once! She's going to get rid of her dog cause she's bored with it and because the dog digs up holes in the dirt. She doesnt know anything about her dog-she doesn't even know what breed it is! Her brother and sister don't even care for the dog-the brother like to spray the dog with the garden hose while the dog is resting, and th parents dont even take care of the dog. My friend is the only one who brushes it, and they dont trim it's nails and take it to the groomer. The dog is not licensed! and she's a backyard breeder!!! She's selling (thank god the poor dog won't suffer) the dog, which is good, but she's getting a new dog. How do I politely tell her,"DONT GET A DOG!!!"

I just adopted two little 3-and-a-half week old baby rats. (litter mates) and I was wondering what kind of tricks I could teach them early, because I have had rats before,(much older than these babies) and they would not do many tricks. Please only respond if you have had experience with rats. Thank You.

He's been eating grapes-and bananas. I was wondering if that was okay. He's started to rub his face with his arms and cry nowadays. It seems as if he's going nuts....or something. >< I just really hate to see my puppy like that- I hope nothings wrong with him. When I placed my hand on his tummy it was making weird noises. I wondered if he has a tummy ache. Is that normal?

I do not care what your answers have to say, but I feel with all the anti-pitbull hysteria, I would make a statement.

It is immoral to blame a dog for being aggressive, when the root of their aggression often stems from irresponsible ownership and abuse.

It is immoral to clump all dogs of a certain breed type "agressive" just because they were born of a certain mother and father.

It is immoral to mistreat and misrepresent and rant and rave about a dog and it's aggression and how it should be put away when you KNOW NOTHING of the breed and their traits.

I own two pitbulls, and I'm proud. I walk them without a leash, and when they break free from the yard, I'm not worried about whether they'll attack. Because they won't. You may say pitbulls are unpredicatable (my own mother says it about my dogs) but I know they are not. They are emotionally and characteristically stable, and I will not dispute these facts.

Do not be so ignorant as to destroy innocent lives. Research

I about freaked. But when my friend and I looked closer, it looked like seeds. What seeds, however, I don't know. I have nothing like that around here. It was on her butt only and wiped off. Nothing was moving like a bug. Neither of my other 2 cats had it. I see nothing in the litter pan and she is very active and is eating and drinking just fine.

Could she have sat on something or am I overlooking worm larvae or something??

I swear thise plant scapes looked like the gardens of Versailles, a very complicated eco-structure. It was not until I looked at the cover that I realized they were in aquariums.

My guinea pig is already 2 years old and i can't train her at all. She bites adn nips and doesn't want to be held because she tries to get away when i try to pick her up from the cage. how can i get my guinea pig to love me? She also squeaks all the time and i can't get her to be quiet , the only way is to give her food but i dont want her to get fat so what should i do? i also keep her in a glass aquarium and some people say that provides poor ventilation but others say that if you clean it well it's all right.
