For healthy mice you should feed them a purchased mouse food (gerbil or hamster food will also work) as their main diet. The mouse food comes with a mixture of seeds and pellets that have all the nutrition they need.

You can also feed them veggies and fruit and pretty much anything you eat as an occasional treat.

White millet seed and raw sunflower seed is what the bulk of packaged mouse foods.

Feeding them nothing but dog food will give them too much protine which will cause their fur to fall out and cause them to scratch alot.

Feeding them Nothing but people food will have them fat and malnourished, like most humans are these days. -smile-

A mixture of both is good. I used to have a pet mouse. I kept a bowl of seed out and would put out a fresh piece of fruit or veggie as a taste treat. Also, I used to put a Kleenex tissue in their sleeping area.......they LOVE tearing it up and making it part of their nest and keeps them happy, plus it's easy to clean out.

Fruits, veggies, bits of meat, bread. Mice will eat just about anything.

the best thing is just a piece of bread moistened with milk ... that works really good .. and if u have a lot of them then dry dog food works just fine ..
