We are looking for a free dog small in size in the Nashville, clarksville, TN or Hopkinsville,Fort Campbell, KY area. (We would love a runt of the littler please before taking to be put down as some local breeders do)We are only asking for free becuase there will still be costs for the dog. To get the animal fixed, shots, a microchip as well as flea and tick prevention and heartworm prevention. We are willing to invest in the dog but would much rather have our vet take care of all the shots and so forth if possible. Thanks in advance

We have a pair of cockatiels that had two babies, I want to say about three weeks ago. We're wanting to hand feed them, but don't know when we are suppose to take them out and start handfeeding them. Does anyone know any sites that give info about the timing of baby birds and feeding directions?
Thanks.

I've seen pleanty of horse questions and I think that instead of searching through general questions about pets to find a horsey question to answer, there should be a whole part for them. Does anybody agree with me and how can we possibly get one added?

Whenever I leave my house for a long period of time, my 1 year border collie ALWAYS takes one of my thing that I either llove dearly or use alot. Why does she do that? Does she just want more attention? And yes since she's a border collie she needs LOTS of exercise, I run/play/walk/run with her 3 hours a day. But why does she do that??

I tried finding answers online, but now I'm just more confused.

I have two common goldfish that used to chase each other around with one usually being the agressor. I've had them almost a year. I recently added a small pleco (bottom feeder), about a week ago. Within the past 3 days the two goldfish have started huddling down in the back corner very still. They become active when it's feeding time and then return to the corner. All 3 fish have new teeny-tiny little white spots all over them as of today.

All of the fish came from the same store which is very well kept, with clean tanks and no dead fish floating around. My tank has a filter, the rocks haven't changed since I got the original two fish, there are plastic plants and an air-stone that have been in there all along too.

Should I be concerned about the new goldfish behavior or the white spots? I will keep checking answers in case more details are requested. Thank you!!!

I have had my Oranda (Sebastian) for a year now and he has been very healthy. Lately though I've noticed that he sometimes ends up upside down when he is swimming around and seems to have trouble turning back over until he floats to the top or struggles for a few moments. He's been like this for a few weeks now and I never noticed this behavior before. I know fancy goldfish are not always the best swimmers, so I am hoping this is nothing serious. There are no outward signs of illness (fins are fine and not clamped, no ich or parasites seen). I have a tank with a biowheel and use Nitraban once a week and do proper filter/water changes once a month. I did change his food from crisps to flakes in the past month, but its still the same brand (Tetra). Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

My 1-1/2 year old peek-a-poo had his vaccine yesterday and today he has a runny nose and is not feeling very well. I took him back today and they told me that this is normal. He didn't have this same reaction the last time he had this vaccine. Has anyone ever had this happen to their dog? Should I worry?

We rescued a formerly abused and overbred husky mix and, for her breed, she is very well behaved! Shes very very quiet and calm, laid back, gets along with cats and all people and animals, housetrained, great during walks, etc. The problem is that when we get back form work, errands, etc, we find that the carpet is pulled up, padding ripped, doorjams chewed up, etc. its only for the door that we leave through. Weve tried kenneling her, she just escapes and bends the wires. The plastic crates--she ripped them open with her teeth. Bitter apple--she is way to stubborn to give up because of some smell or funny taste. walks--still doesnt help. kong--grows bored of it withing a few minutes. This is a huge problem and we need some honest and HELPFUL answers. Please no rude opinions. We really are trying to work with this dog instead of giving up on her like eveyone else has
(sorry for the long post)..
