A small Parrot.
That wasn't one of the choices? It should have been.

It really depends on what you want. The dog and the cat has been vying for top spot as most favourite pet. And they're still the two top ones. Its hard to say which is the actual winner. I think other animals such as rabbits and iguanas are coming higher up that list.
If you're the type of person who likes your pet to listen to your command and will be loyal to you, then a dog would suit you better. They come in many shapes and sizes, which I'm sure you'll be able to find one to your liking. However, they do require a fair bit of attention and care. They need their daily exercise and you will have to toilet train them.
If you're the type who likes their pets to be in dependant, then a cat would be fine. Cats pretty much takes care of themselves, therefore you do not have to put in as much effort to keep them as compared to dogs. However, they can get pretty moody and will not always listen to your command. You'll have to get pretty patient with them sometimes.
An iguana on the other hand requires much more effort to keep them. You'll have to get their habitat just right - i.e. temperature, lighting, nutrition, tree perch, etc. They are less responsive.
At the end of the day, there is no "better" pet. It all boils down to the individual person and their needs. And it could change from time to time too.

It all depends on weather you are a dog or cat lover, and weather you work or not. Cats can look after them selves as long as you leave food and water out for them and have a cat flap on the other hand Dogs need to be exercised and you should not have a dog if you are going to be out all day its not fair on the dog as for an Iguana i don't think so.

Cat. An iguana is expensive to keep and needs a lot of skill to be kept healthy. A dog requires a lot of training and attention. A cat just needs feeding and the occasional stroke. Cats are cool and low maintenance.

I have had all three as pets at one time. My Iguana's were almost 5 ft long male and female. They really don't have a personality, but they were rather unique. They had a 55 gallon tank, their potty, a small bird bath, large tree limbs for climbing and their own room. They like it warm and humid. Alot of work went into their care. They can carry diseases, so you need to wash your hands after handling.
Dogs are great, but need time and investment. As puppies they are cute but they grow up and then....Potty training can take 4 months, invest in a carpet cleaner.
Cats can amuse themselves, litter box train. My vote is cat

iguana just sit there..cats are independent so don't need much looking after )to a degree that is). dogs are very loyal and need far more looking after as for you working its not fair to leave a dog home alone for long periods at a time..(BTW cats can have cat flaps).
so all in all depend on your home life if u work allot get a cat..if u work only part time get a dog.. if u just like looking at things that don't move much get a iguana..
good luck..

A dog, although a cat would come a close second. I think an iguana would be better off in the wild, as they are difficult to tame - or house-train!!!

It depends what you want from your pet! I have cats and a dog and love them all and each returns that love! I dont have lizards as I dont know anything about them and they dont appeal to me. I do have fish and a pair of aquatic frogs and find them better to watch than TV. Very relaxing and the frogs are very amusing creatures and the male serenades me at night! (Ok he is really singing to his mate and I just listen in)
always choose an animal with care and find out as much as possible about them too. I believe Iguanas take a lot of looking after and require live crickets to eat! Definately not for me!

I'd say it depends on how much care you want to give.. A cat is for the most part independant, a dog requires alot of time and energy, and I havent had any experience with Iguanas but I've heard they take alot of time, and their climate and diet has to be exact...

Dogs need a lot of time, if you have an apartment you would have to keep it indoors which would make your place smell [same thing with cats] its hard to potty train them and when they use the potty anywhere its hard and disgusting to clean [especially on carpet].
Iguanas are more calm and like someone said wont mess up your furniture or chew on your shoes, I have one, and their not as hard to care for like people are making it seem. Shes always in her cage but when I let her out she just climbs up the curtains and sits on the stick.
It all really depends on you, your schedule and your budget.

I would say cat. Dogs will pee and poo all over your floor. Iguanas grow to be 6 ft. long and take an enormous amount of care. Cats are great because they are naturally potty trained to use the litter box and they take a minimal amount of care. They can be very affectionate, too. It all depends on how you treat them.
