It depends a lot on the type of dog you get, and I would never trust a dog to be alone in a room with a ferret, unless you were absolutely sure the cage was completely tip prof, safe and the ferret was inside it. But that's not to say it's not possible to find a dog that wont think you ferret is a rag doll he's suppose the throw up in the air and catch, I'm sure lots of people have them.

A dog killed one of my first ferrets and traumatized the other, and all because I thought they were safe in there cage and I trusted the dog, I thought she was harmless. It was one of them Super Pet Cages. My babies are now safely living happily in a Midwest cage with some adjustments, I had to add shelves and stuff.

really you should ask this interior the canines section. also, in order that that you recognize ferrets at the instantaneous are not rodents, they are carnivores, concerning to weasels. Any straightforward to coach breed ought to experience good about ferrets. All canines have a killer instinct so any canines you get will choose preparation from an early age...in case you get the ferret and the domestic dog mutually it really is going to be straightforward to make stronger them. you would opt for to steer sparkling of terriers and hounds, though I hear beagles make large pets. i'd bypass for a medium small, "comfortable" breed that's more desirable typically than not saved as a puppy in recent times, alongside with a miniature poodle or a cocker spaniel.

Hm well most likely not, since some dogs are hunting dogs and see the ferrets as well...prey animals. But there is always exceptions :).
