One of my cats threw up a thick white goo a couple times, and today another cat did. They aren't running a fever, and are only throwing up like once a day. I can't figure out what it is?

I have a a cat that was also doing this. The vet told me that his stomach was just becoming more sensitive with old age. Of course old age is not the only reason for a sensitive stomach some cats just develop one anyway for whatever reason. Anyway I was told to give him hair ball medicine once a day. Not because he thought it had anything to do with hairballs, but he said that the medicine coats their stomach, and will help with the sensitivity. I gave him medicine everyday for a week or so and he stopped throwing up. He still goes through stints were he pukes everyday for a few days, but when he starts that I start treatment again.
My other cat will drink milk out of my cereal bowl when I'm not looking and if he drinks too much he throws up white mucus. Many cats can't handle cows milk. If your cats are still eating and staying active and the white goo is the only problem I would not worry much. from years of cat ownership I have learned that some cats are just prone to throwing up, and some aren't. My brother has a cat that throws up at least once daily and even the vet has said he is perfectly healthy and there is nothing to worry about. Hope I have been helpful!

Their stomach acid is foamy and it looks white when it first comes up then it disappears after a few minutes or it just looks like a wet spot.

If there is nothing else there in the vomit they may have a blockage. Try a little hairball remedy/laxative just to be on the safe side.

I remember once my cat was eating grass and then puked out white goo.
So do you let your cats outside?
It could be that.

And appartently they do that so they can clean out their stomachs or something.. ... :|

But if they keep on doing that take them to a vet.

Their could be mucus going down into there stomach's from their sinuses. That could lead to them throwing up if it bothers their stomach....

To much water, maybe not? They could have eaten something they shouldn't have and caused them to throw up.
