i had a female parakeet living alone and i added a male. at first they hated each other but lately they've been... you know. and now my female keeps laying eggs. they sit at the bottom for a while and then the male cracks them. i don't want babies, so should i just ignore it?

My dog is almost 3 years old. He does'nt go outside much, because he does'nt like the cold. Is there anything I can do to make him less sad when we leave, besides get another dog or cat.

He's blind, nearly deaf,and spends ALL his waking time sniffing out food ie the garbage, the cat's food and will risk life and limb to simple lick an empty bowl. He always had plenty of food, but he acts like he's starving to death. He's 14+ years old and could easily break a bone jumping up on a counter.

I have a three month old mini dachshund. I want to feed him dog food that is very good for him and will provide all the nutrients he needs but that is also affordable. So far I've been feeding him Iams and Puppy Chow. I've heard conflicting things about all brands of dog food. Suggestions?

I am thinking of bringing my Papillon to dog training at one of these places. I was wondering if anyone has tried them and how well it went. Is it worth the money? Do they do a good job? What can I expect to get out of the training?

Should I invest in a personal trainer instead?

I left my 10 month old kitten at home when I went on vacation. While his vet is across the street, I wanted him to be in familiar surroundings.

When I got back, he had opened the shredder and played with all of the paper, which is now all over my living room. Thank goodness the shredder was unplugged!

He also gave me "love bites" to let me know he was happy I was back.

He is obviously someones pet he followed my husband to the door of our house and he is really friendly. If no one in my neiborhood claims him how much could i sell him for? I have a new baby so i cant keep him (altough i would love to).He is in great shape other than he was a little hungry and his nails need a trim. Im near by LA.

So, I bring home a new dog and things are good for the first week and then all the little things come out. I come home from work and let the dogs out of their confinement and one of them immediatly jumps to my face and hits me, hard, with his muzzle. Anyone know how to correct this or what it means? He does this all the time and once busted my lip open. It's a small problem compared to my other dog, which I am working on and probably will have to forever but it's so annoying!

My sister found a dog on her back porch. She took him to the vet to see if he has a chip and there wasn't one. There is a colar but no ID and it looks like he got out of where ever he was tide up at because there is a peice of yarn on his colar. He is a really cute Jack Russel mix. He is white with caramel spots. We have already thought of quite a few. Max, Maxwell, Jack, Zeus,Dipstick, Sprout, Spot, Peanut, and Charley. He is very curious and very sweet.
What should we name him?
