all budgies stance are different. This does not matter - i have about 35 budgies and all of my budgies tails are different some face down, some face up etc. The only reason that some people care about the way that budgies stand and the angle that the tail hangs down is that it matters a lot if you are going to enter the budgie in shows.

I have seven budgies. I've found that they all have a different posture and carriage. I'm betting your little girl also tends to have a horizontal tail at times. I've never associated posture so much with gender as with age. My younger birds tend to have sloppy posture, kind of like teenagers, while my older birds tend to have better posture.

All budgies are like that. Females tend to fly more, which means that their tails point straight down for them to be able to stop faster.

I heard that this is not normal behavior, and that she could be sad. If it's still pointing down after a few days, take it to the vet!
