I dont own a dog but congrats on adopting...
the weirdest cross I saw was a accident (not one of these tacky intentionally bred mutts) it was a Rottie x Shih Tzu.. it had long hair.. man it looked weird.. you would have NEVER guessed what it was...

It's worth noting that not all non-purebred dogs are mixes. Before purebreds became popular, most dogs were just plain old mongrel dogs and not "mixed". Thanks to spay / neuter programs, many of those types of regular dogs no longer exist but there are still remnants where non-purebred dogs are just dogs. Shelters promote the idea of "mixed breed" because people like having something to identify with.

Lol. He sounds cute. Ive had a cocker spaniel, poodle, wire hair terrier mix. He was about 10lbs full grown and had grey black and brown hair that stuck up everywhere! Good luck with the puppy!

Yes, My (rescued baby) cali- is a mix of Rottweiler/Pitt bull, she is short and stout, has the body of a pitt bull, and a boxy head. but the colours of a rottweiler.
she had 5 pups when I found her, I took them and found them all good homes, but I kept a baby too! (Jenna) she is a mix of her mother- and we think either doberman, OR Lab.. I am leaning more on Lab, Jenna is taller and much skinner than her mom-
here is my web page about the pups, you can see them.

As a veterinary technician I think the funniest was a corgi / rotti mix she was adorable and silly! She was short and stout, looked a lot like a rotti with short little legs.

I have a chihuaha/pit mix. He is adorable and actually looks a lot like a terrier. Kind of like a midget pit.

I had a dog that was collie/dachshund, also one that was pit bull/chow, and a friend of mine had one that was German Shepard/Chihuahua. I know that one is weird but I saw the two parents mate, funnest thing you ever saw.
