Any ideas for helping my cat.

He hasn't eaten in four days anything at all? Has he been drinking, urinating and going poo? Did he poo before the four days? Is he lethargic?
Any animal that doesn't eat for four days can be telling you that he's quite sick. He could have an intestinal blockage or something else internal going on. You would need to call the vet the first thing in the morning to schedule an appointment for tomorrow. It probably isn't just a case of starting his appetite up again, starving animals will eat anything to survive. If he's not eating, he's definitely sick. Call the vet first things and be sure to be seen tomorrow.

A vet trip is in order. Until then, find some of the stinkiest food that you can buy. Fancy Feast makes a few types that are basically just chunks of fish. It's their 'filet' lines. When my cat was very very sick and not eating, the Sardines, Shrimp, and Crab in Aspic was the only thing I could get him to eat. It has a yellow trim on the label.
If you don't already keep him inside - now is the time to start.

If he hasn't eaten anything or had water for 4 days he needs to get to a vet immediately or his kidneys can shut down.
If he is eating poorly, try giving him some tuna the kind in water.
Or put some tuna water in his water to get him to drink.
You should notice how else he may be acting not normal, sleeping more than usual, eyes watery, sneezing, etc.

You need to take him to a vet. He might be very sick, or it could be an emotional feeling. If he is an outdoor cat, he might have eaten something poisonous. Make sure your spending a lot of time with him.

if he hasnt eaten in that long it can be a serious problem - why isnt he eating?? is he sick?? does he have a bad tooth?? if a cat will not eat canned chicken and rice mush.. then its time for a vet..

Take your cat to the vet. Could be a blockage. Vet will advise..this is too serious to let go without medical attention.

Call the vet. They might have you bring him in. He might just have a stomach bug and really not be hungry. My cat stops eating for a bit when he has a big hairball coming.

VET VET VET! As much as we want to help, we're not doctors. It could be a kidney problem or ileus. If that is not it, maybe he's depressed. Talk to him. Cats are people too!

my cat does the same thing he eats little to no food for days at a time its usally the food they have a lot of times they dont like it so try to change the food it works for me i have two cats tiger is a very picky cat and baby girl will only eat canned food and wont eat the dry food tiger will eat dry food only when he doesnt have canned food in his dish so dont worrie about them not eating when they are hungry enough they will eat whats in front of them hope this helps and god bless
