she is declawed but keeps pawing like she digging a hole tring to bury something

Cats have scent glands in their paws and as they claw it releases hormones that puts their smell on things. It is their way of marking.

My cat Tabs does that whenever she is trying to wake me up. She'll paw at the bed, walls, pictures I have on a corner table. She likes to eat early!

A wild cat will cover it's food to come back to later.

All cats will cover their feces.
Most cats will "dig" up their blankets to make their bed...like us fluffing the pillows.

My cat will try and cover up his food when he's done.

this is kneading. It is an action that they did when they were nursing to stimulate flow of milk from their mother. They continue this action through their entire life.

Its called Kneading...because if they had claws they would be scratching at whatever they are kneading on.

my cat used to do that and my vet said it was trying to scratch us because we took its claws out
