My 8 mo. old Weimaraner weighs 52 lbs. and follows me around all the time. When I get home from anywhere he jumps on me for at least 5 minutes. He doesn't do this to anyone else. I have bruises all over my arms from him. I know he is not being mean becuase his little tail is wagging so hard while he is doing this. I have tried to stop him by raising my knee, but this doesn't work. What else can I do?

all over his stomach. he doesn't have flee's or anything. it started out just being a couple and i figured that it was from the cat beating him up. but instead of healing they have spread under his arm pitts and by his legs. does anyone know what this could be? and the sores aren't scabby or anything so idk. any idea's of what it could be would be great!

My new next door neighbors just got there teenage sons a pitbull for Christmas. I have a three year old daughter who I went through great trouble to have, lost her twin sister in the womb, and was born premature weighing only 1lb 9oz and spent 3mts in the hospital, then a year later went in for open heart surgery. I love her more than life itself and only want to be proactive in case the dog does attack someday, what I need to do to save her. I have no malice for any dog, but knowing the reputation of the breed, want to be fully prepared for the possibility. I have search the internet, and only fond one web site that gives me some answers. I specified the pitbull, because that's what is next door. For those who think I am ignorant, maybe you should have the full story before you judge me and go through what I have already had to endure. My only goal is to protect my child from potential harm. Again I ask, if it attacks what can I do to save my child!!!!

I am adopting a Siberian/Mal mix and am training him to be a hearing dog for me.

I have done all the research and I feel that he really is the best option for me. I have done my homework.

Now here is the problem:
My mother thinks I should wait until I get to college.
(for 2 reasons:
doesn't want to get stuck with the dog
and thinks he is to large)

Can any one help me?
I need to know to following:
1: Laws that will allow me to bring the dog with me to college
2: Places that can help me if I run into a finance problem
3: Training tips
4: Your own personal opinions on what should be done
5: Personal experiences

I am sorry I know I have a lot of questions.

P.S. Just for information: I do NOT want an already trained service dog. From past experiences and articles I am not interested.
I want to train my own, and thats a final.

Thank you, and sorry for the long questions.

Well, I just bought a baby Sun Conure and while he was in the store he was always very quiet. Once I brought him home, however, he was quiet the first day and so far, since then, he's been ''yelling'' non-stop. The only time I get peace and quiet from him is when I leave him alone in a dark room for a while. I don't want to have to keep him in a dark room forever.

How do I teach him that he needs to be quiet? He is well fed, kept watered, loved as long as possible until I cant take his ''yelling'' anymore and he gets enough sleep. Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

By the way, he is about 6 weeks old at the time of this post.

heya,

i need some help, well theres this horse who ive known for about 2-3 years, im quite close with him and i have loved him very dearly since i met him first. the person who had owned him perviously lived in the same country as the horse. and i live in dubai. so i made a deal with the guy to hand him over to me once his racing careers over. and i got him by plane over to dubai. i am not that well off so i spent quite a lot of my money on bringing im here. i know it is stupid becuase i could have just gotten a horse from dubai. but i really love this horse and it was so worth it!! he has had a month of rest and grazing and a whole lot of TLC but not spoilt. i need help to train him to learn the gaits and to learn how to jump and basic dressage! anything u give me i will appreciate verymuch! thanks a lot! plus im 17 years old.

thanks a lot

All my dogs think this is the coolest treat, and I have even bought peanut butter flavored dog treats so I know it's not just me. This is obviously not something they would have in the wild, so why do they love it so much?

my labrador/chow seems to be testing his limits. he is going to be 2 on valentines day. i have had him since the day he was born and had to bottle feed him because of the death of his mother. he is very vocal and can be a fun loving dog. lately he has been doing things he isnt suposed to such as chewing, jumping, and if u stop him from what he is doing and ignore him for his bad behavior he will just stay right by you and bark this high pitch nerve racking bark. just these past to days if he does not get it his way he will nip you on your butt. one member of the family finds it funny and does not stop it he just encourages it. if you tell him NO he wil bark at you and if you try to grab him to tell him NO he will play that little you cant catch me thing an d shout a playful bark. about 4 months ago we got another labrador (purebread female) it hasnt affected him in any negative way. i am afraid he may turn on us and hurt somebody. why is he doing this and how do i control it?

I want a tiny dog that I can fit in to my purse an I can dress up but not all the time. What I want is a Teacup Yorkie now this is where I need to know how much is this breed and a price range. Now I want to find the best breeder even if I have to fly him or her out here I will. And I need the mouth to mouth care of this breed and cost. At this time I am living in a house that dose not allow dogs But in the next year or two I will be moving and I need that time to save.
