HELP! I need to find an aquarium STAT! I am getting a turtle in about 2 hours and I can't find an aquarium at PetSmart,Petco, or walmart! IT HAS TO BE ONE OF THOSE THREE PLACES! Any previous turtle owners or current turtle owners, tell me if you got your aquarium at PetSmart or Petco or Walmart!
Plz help and be serious!
Don't make fun of me! I have been looking for a long time and my mom just told me yesterday when I went to bed that I was going to get one as a late Christmas present.

I've seen some good links to turtle care in aswers to your previous questions.
The best thing you can do is buy a book on turtles and take it home & read it.
Then start looking for a tank before you get the turtle.
You will need a 75g tank and heating, filtration, a UVB lamp & a basking lamp. You could manage with a 20-30g tank for a few months but the kit tanks with built in or HOB filters are not suitable for a low water level tank.
A red eared slider will need a tank with a base size of at least 48"x18" but as a minimum, not necessarily at first but you need to plan ahead - just as if getting a puppy - they grow & they get the size of a plate.
It takes a couple of days to set up a tank - to make sure the equipment works properly so you cant buy the tank & turtle together.
A turtle is a long term commitment so surely waiting a week won't matter?
