She is living in her original home w/ her original family w/ her breeding mate. She's been breed 5 times but owners want to get rid of her cuz she she won't be breeding any longer. I know there will be a huge adjustment--loss of home, family, pups. What kind of behavior should I expect ? What can I do to make the transition easier ?

I need help. On August 31st, I fell off my horse (she panicked and started to gallop off into the dark... and I know it wasn't smart to be riding her at night, so... ) and broke my wrist, got a concussion, and was hospitalized for like 6 days. Doctor's orders: no riding till at least summer vacation, cuz otherwise it might happen again and I could re-break my wrist or have another concussion.
Nobody in my family dares to ride her anymore, and my pony (I wrote about him before) is still unbroken. She needs to be ridden/rode A TON more than we used to still, and nobody can (will).
We can't afford to get somebody to ride her for us, and my friends are a little queasy about the thought of being the first to ride her again.
Help?

Is it possible he is still teething? He has never been a chewer before. He'll even start nibbling on my fingers when I pet him. Not hurting, just nibbling. What would bring this on?

I feel like my horse and I aren't bonding well over the last year. I'd like to show his next year and I think in order to finish him I need a special bond with him and be able to become more aware of his feelings. What is the best way to go about this without him walking all over me?

our cat is 6 years old, and no body in this area will take him. we're moving from military housing... there was no pet deposit, and we'd planned on staying here. he had to get out at the last minute. this whole situation is unexpected, and the only place we can afford doesn't allow pets. we have had this cat for a while, and are attached, but keeping him is impossible. any suggestions? keeping him really cant happen, and i'm sorry to any animal rights activists i'm offending, but i'm a full time student going into dental school, and my husband will be working full time and going for his BA. are there cat shelters? or places that don't euthenise? please help!

I have a friend, whose mom also happens to be one of my teachers, and they own several animals.. which are all very poorly cared for. Most notably (and it bothers me a great deal), they have two male Golden Retrievers... about 8 months old... who are literally kept locked up in their crates 95% of the day and night... usually having to sit in their own feces for hours. Both friend and teacher are oblivious to the fact that their house stinks horribly, and they both think that there's nothing wrong with how they treat those dogs. They also have two cats, who are usually ignored and use the house as their "litterbox", and two rabbits that live in filthy cages that are cleaned maybe once a month at the most. At total risk of ruining a friendship, and having a grade mysteriously drop itself... is this situation something I should report to my local ASPCA?

My cat just started to sleep under the covers and cats don't normally like being under covers or having something cover their body when they sleep. So I am greatly concerned at why my cat has started this unique way of sleeping.

Ok, I have 2 new pound puppies. boy 9 weeks and girl 5 months. Both were born in the shelter. I need to know how often and how much to feed each. Is it alright to feed them together? I don't think I fed them enough today because they were acting really hungry when I did feed them. So, I need a schedule...what should it be? Now, I know this wasn't bright but when we visited the shelter my husband didn't come. the 5 mos. old pup loves me and the girls. But, she is somewhat skiddish when my husband goes to pet her. Not aggressive just timid. She cringes and sometimes run. From what I can see all of the employees at the shelter are female. Could this be why? Any suggestions on how to calm her besides just letting him pet her? or is this a bad sign?
