oh god!! green tree monitors are not at all easy to keep, they freak out all the time. they are one of the pretteiest monitors there are i have 1 now i had 2 but one died on me. this spesceis is by far the most skiddish. they are not all that aggressive but do bite quite alot out of self defense. they are a small monitor, need buttloads of humidity. they are very sensitive and young wild caught ones do not adjust all that easily to new surroundings. if you can find someone that deals in captive bred specimens go that route its a bit more expensive but well worth it. you dont want to spend 600 on a wild caught and have it die in 2 months. i am not trying to get you to not get one, these are some of the most beutifull monitors there are i love mine and wouldnt trade him for the world, but they do require more room than even the larger monitors, and must be fed more often.

let me know if you need to get rid of any others, i've been keeping pets for 30 years. tree monitors aren't very user friendly but are hardy lizards as pets, try a colunbian black & white tegu(mines awesome) or uromystyx, vegiterian mostly and make good pet.
about monitor, check caresheet at kingsnake.com or reptileauction.com

I don't know anything about green tree monitors, but the Tokay Gecko is a good pet for an advanced owner looking for a challenge. Tokay Geckos are rather crabby and they bite, but if you train them, they are not so bad. Mine is really nice. My mom petted him, and all he did was look startled! (a normal one would have bitten her.)

Ask yourself if you can take care of your pets. If you can't take care of the existing pets and wants to get the new ones, the animals are like trapped in the torture chambers. Don't torture the animals. Control your urges to get the new pets.
