getting too long, so i was thinking if i should cut it. Can it be cut or do i need someone like a vet to do it? Is there any gadgety in the market to trim its nails?

He is a big time fetcher. Yesterday we were at a play date with other dogs and he was having a great time and normally takes tumbles chasing his tennis ball or frisbee, but something happened and he took a tumble and I could tell he broke his paw, the forearm of the paw if that makes sense. We took him to our vet and they put a splint on it and gave us some pain meds. We saw the x-ray and he has a clean break. The vet did not know much regarding dog orthopedics but kept mentioning that he would need surgery. I thought this was odd. I broke both my arms growing up and both were clean breaks and I did not need any type of surgery, just to get the bone set and the cast on. Dogs may be different, I dunno. I mean is surgery going to be the only option because not only is it expensive it means we need to put him on anthesia again and that makes me nervous. If anyone who owns Boston Terrier's or even if you dog has broken his/her leg, any advice would be gratefully received.

I blow dried his hair and sat with him in front of the fire so he dried off, he seems to be ok today, but he was making a bunch of sneezing noises yesterday...anyone know what that was?

Got a cat 5 weeks ago she had been microchipped. I can now feel a lump on right side of neck halfway down ,size of a pea. Would this be chip or could be something else? Will phone vet tmw just wondered if anyone knows. Thanks

I just finally figured out what flea anemia is and now know that I have lost some kittens to it over the years. I have one right now that I am almost certain has it, she has been sprayed and is in a towel but it does not look good. Has anyone else gone thru this and PLEASE, do you have a suggestion! I am holding her wrapped up in one hand now, so please hurry. I don't want to lose her!!! Thank you!!!!!!

well my dog is a pomapoodle (pomeranian poodle) thats 5 1/2 months old and i live in an apartment with a pretty big balcony and when i leave i can't leave him inside cuz he destroys everything! my couch for example was destroyed completely in 2 hours which is crazy (but he is still a pup so i understand!!) but the problem is i wanna prevent this behavior by leaving him on the balcony but he barks so damn much my neighbor has already complanied 7 times! i dont know what to do i feel so sorry for my dog (seeing him looking at the balcony door with his cute little eyes!!) but the same time I aint got the money to buy new couches every week and he's gotta learn to be by himself without barking cuz now that I leave him inside my apartment he barks and scratches on the front door right when i get out! is this one of those things pups have and it passes as they grow???????? cuz i know the biting thing is (cuz their changin teeth and all)

He is 3, neutered, and awesome. So gentle and sweet and loving. Rescued him, but he has a thing about cats. He has not tried to hurt one, yet, but he freezes and stares at them. He is so intent on them, he can't take his eyes off of them. They don't like him at all, when he is close they try to scratch him and they growl. We have 5 year old lab who they play and snuggle with, is there hope for him to be socialized with them, and how?? Thanks.

Firstly, please don't give me the speel about how it's bad to declaw a cat. I am very well informed of how it works, and I'm not asking for your opinions on why not to do it. That being said, here's my issue! My wife and I have a female cat who is 3 years old, we also have a male cat, the mother and father have three kittens we still have. Recently I returned from Iraq, and in the last month she has attacked me twice completely unprovoked. Today my wife and I were laying in bed discussing the cats and the noises they make and she suddenly out of the blue attacked my face. I would like to keep our cat because we both love her very much, but I can't have this cat attacking my wife and me. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks

I woke up this morning to find my partners pill box open and on the floor. We're missing a 50mg zoloft and a .5mg zanax. We called the vet and they gave us Animal poison contorl and it costs $60! Oh Gosh! Ive had clean water for my 4feet tank with 9 Goldfish Lionhead Ranchus in it. Just last nite, Ive noticed there is an whitish growth on one of the fish's head. Ive decided to get this yellowish powder thing which claims to heal fungal infection in fishes and put in into the water. Fine..then this morning from where the whitish spot on the fish's head is a huge gapping hole! And Ive noticed also that the other fishes have their tails and fins like rotting away. Help!!! How do I prevent fin rot and fungal infections once and for all? Whats the best way to cure fint rot and fungal infection in goldfishes? Help Help Help
