I blow dried his hair and sat with him in front of the fire so he dried off, he seems to be ok today, but he was making a bunch of sneezing noises yesterday...anyone know what that was?

Please take your pup to the vet. Chances are your pup has water in the lungs. He could get a very serious case of pneumonia. It's common in those sort of stressful, scary situations for dogs to aspirate. Please consult a doctor and don't follow any advice to administer medicine to your dog over the internet. No cough syrup is going to cure your dog of pneumonia:)

Good luck to you and you schnauzer!

Either your pet must be taking a cold,or got water up his nose when falling in the pool.If he continues, see your vet,or give him about 1/3 of a cc of robertussin every 4 to 6 hours, this will help him in case he is taking the sniffles.1/3 of a cc on a 3cc syringe is about 3 little marks on the 3 cc syringe.Schnauzers are like that, yeah they are, very playful little pets.

I raised all 3 colorings of Miniature Schnauzers for twenty years and not in any respect heard of something like that. Schnauzer hair is meant to be very coarse, yet via the time they seem to be a million years the person hair color would desire to be set. weird and wonderful..............

Probably just some water in the nose. Don't worry about it unless it continues for 3 days or so.
Dogs know how to swim and you dried him off right away, he'll be just fine.

You might want to take him to the vets to make sure he didn't aspirate any of the pool water and has aspiration pneumonia from it. He may also be allergic to the chemicals in the pool.
