Pets - 5 November 2006

Today, it threw up its dinner and it still has not passed the underpants. Other than that it seems ok. I was going to take it to the vet tomorrow.
just wanting to know if this has happened to anyone else, and what they did. thanks

We ususally make her perches out of wood from a tree in our yard but she just chews through them in a week or so causing it fall with her on it! we've tried several different perches from the store as well even really expensive ones. Any ideas? I feel so bad for her when she falls like that!

For the past couple of weeks, my dog has been drinking A LOT more water than she used to. Ive heard this could be linked to some kind of kidney problem, but others tell me she would be showing more symptoms. I have no clue what to do and I don't think this is normal.

I just had a goldfish die today after months of trying to save it. It was in a tank with only one other fish. It sounds silly, but how long does this fish need to "grieve" before replacing the one that died? Both fish were ryukins, and are my first ones. I bought them together. Also, how would I introduce a new fish? Should I get another ryukin or does it matter? The fish died of some kind of gill disease that antiparasitics, antibiotics, and pretty much every other fish medicine out there couldn't cure. The other fish has never been sick.

My 10 years old cat seems very lonely after the death of her brother two months ago. They grew up together and were never separated until Prince died of heart failure . I am thinking of bringing home a young kitten to make her company but I wonder if it will be welcome by her. Since she is deft, she lives in her own world most of the time and is becoming very needy. She is very loving and affectionate, also she has a very short temper. I would appreciate any suggestions. thank you

My boyfriend is paying for my kitten shots and I'm paying to get him fix and put a chip in him. How much are the shots and what kind does he need . And should I make two trips to the vet or get it done in one day. Which one should I do first/ get him fixed,and his chip , or his shots, or can I get it all done in one day . I have a male ratwailer 3ys old and he con-
