It was not my pet, but I knew someone who had a lion as a pet (this is for real) and this was in Egypt! they expanded the business and had a small village for tourists where food was served and a lions show as well!! The owner used to walk around in that place with a lion (about 6 month old)!! The place still exists, about 100 miles north west Cairo and called Alasad village (The lion Village)!

I think it's my Husband, he requires so much work and doesn't seem to learn anything, I think getting him fixed will help some( I'm pregnate with #4). Ok just kidding (I'm glad he doesn't come on here LOL)
I don't know, my pets are sorta common, I have hermit crabs, a snake, fire bellied toads, goldfish, snails, a dog and 2 cats... I want to get a mini goat (the ones that get 12" full grown) to help mow the lawn, but I think my neigbors would flip out!

I had a possum for many years. I have kept insects such as stag beetles for pets. I've raised monarch butterflies - they must be released as adults. I occasionally raise preying mantises from their egg cases.
I currently have a pet wolf spider. I keep marine fish and invertebrates my favorite vertebrates being my porcupine puffer fish and my lionfish. My favorite invertebrate pets are my hundreds of starfish of all sizes, mostly miniatures.

I had a squirrel once. We found him on the ground under a tree , just born, took him home and my Dad fed him on bread and milk and whisky - he lived. We named him Dennis and he lived in the garden and our house, and once he travelled over 200 miles in our car when we visited relations. He lived with us until he found a mate and then disappeared. He was lovely and never bit us! But grandma hated him, so we used to drag a bit of fur on string across the back of her chair to make her jump! Sorry Gran!
