I'm very jealous, they are beautiful plus I've heard that they are a more active kind of cat, playful & affectionate .. not the aloof snoozers of the cat world.
I'm sure that the breeder of your cat will give you lots of advice and, if they are the good sort, will be available for information & advice once you have your cat/kitten home with you.
There's lots of websites out there about them - this is what I found about Care & Training:
Somalis are intelligent but somewhat willful. Thus, training is done far better with rewards than with punishment. They can be trained easily to use a scratching post by heaping attention and pats on them whenever they use it. They can be trained to do simple tricks with relative ease, such as fetching and shaking hands.
Somalis need little care to keep their coats in good condition. Their soft, silky hair requires little brushing, although most Somalis love the attention if brushing is viewed as affection time rather than a chore. They do not mat, although the longer fur around their hindquarters can sometimes mat if not brushed regularly. As stated before, they shed very little.
Otherwise, good food, fresh water, regular vet-checkups, regular vaccinations, toys, and lots of love is all they need to thrive.
There's also this site:

I think that it is well written & there are some lovely photos.
Good luck with him or her

I'd stick with a turkey....somalis can be a little greasy if not roasted properly. And little goes with them except turnips tossed in butter.Gordon Ramsay reckons they are too tough too.

Make sure get a genuine orphan one and don't use your power and wealth in order to push things along. Make sure the tabloids don't find out...
