On the bottle it says it can be used instead of soap and water to help clean minor cutes, scrapes and burns and it says temporarily relieves pain and itch while helping to prevent infection. But can I use it on a cat?

Hi there again Allie...PLEASE only antibacterial soap (e.g. Dial, Safeguard, etc) and water, nothing else until you speak with a veterinary practioner.

Dont use antiseptic wash which is not supposed to be applied on cats, as they will lick the wounds and that can kill your cat. You probably can get some medicated and insecticidal pet shampoos from pet supplies shops to clean the wounds.

Allie, please only use soap and water like Seattle says. Antiseptic wipes could be too strong for her and when she goes to clean herself she will lick it and it could make her feel sick. Everyone else could be telling you use hydrogen peroxide which is wrong too. Just stick to the water and soap. It's enough!

When in doubt, abstain. It's safer to use antibacterial soap and water and be sure to rinse well !! If the wounds aren't healing well or are deep, go to the vet.

When I found my cat he had been attacked by some other animal. When I took him in I called the vet because his wounds were badly infected. She said to use peroxide, so apparently peroxide is safe.
