I would have to say no. It is very costly and time consuming, the normal veil tail (which yours probably is) are the hardest ones to find homes for. Selling them to the petstore isn't always an option since they already have a supplier. You would have to have hundreds of containers for each of the males since they can't be kept together then have something for all the females and feed them all and clean them everyday which can be very hard for someone who works and has a life outside the home. And are you even sure that it is a female? Some males have short fins so you can go by that.

Here are some links you can look at for more information on breeding them. http://www.bettacentral.com/breeding.htm

First, enable the male and the female see one yet another (one way is via getting a water bottle cutting an entire interior the backside a sit down it interior the tank with the female in it and enable the male swim round her and inspect her then whilst he commence making bubbles and wait approximately 3 minutes a minimum of enable her our). . Then, it would take a at an analogous time as so do no longer think of ohh their no longer likely to mate.whilst they do commence he would commence chasing her around the tank and it would seem as though their scuffling with yet their no longer their commencing. . Then, the female and the male would would curl into this lil ball and then the female would drift to the best ineffective then the male would %. up the eggs in his mouth and positioned it interior the bubble nest . Then, take the female out at the instant and depart the male in to guard the eggs.depart THE MALE IN.

Can you tell me what you plan on doing with at least 50 or more fish?
Do you have homes for all of them?
Do you have the time and the money to take care of them?

This is not something to be taken on lightly, and can be cruel if you decide to just stick two fish in together to see what happens.

I suggest you try owning bettas for a least a year and do research and save up money if you really are serious about it.

if u want to breed beta..
i suggest DONT put the female in the same place at once...
cause it might b risky , coz they're probably fighting..
first.. put the female in another cup/bowl which is less large than the male's bowl. (a transparent one will work)
put the female bowl into the male's bowl (like steaming chocolate)
they will be chasing around but it;s ok (it;s for introduction)
then if u see in the male's bowl have many bubbles (24H) then release the female in to the bowl..
see if they fighting then pick the female again..continue the introduction...
but if they chasing around but not fighting.. you will see eggs in about couple of days...

FYI betas breed only in the same spesies and size DOES matter.
happy breeding betas :D

Do you realize they are FIGHTING fish?
Since you just got that fish, you dont really know that much about them. I have bred them before successfully, but you have to know what you're doing. You dont keep 2 bettas in the same tank.

Male betas fight for death
Male's behaviors are always risky
He may kill your female beta also
so don't buy a male next to yours
unless you don't want to risk your female
