I have been told on this site that I must soak the dried food for a few minutes separately b4 giving it to my male betta fish...........so after a few mins of d soaking of the food, have I to just give him the soaked food?? or have I too even pour in his tank the water in which the food was soaked, incase any food particles sink????

I have 4 finches i need to know?
we have 4 finches and the have paired up they are in a big 4ftx 3ft cage .they have their own nests .but so far no eggs they are social finches one is all white 2 are brown and white and one has a orange beak and some stripes .. icant tell what ones are boys or girls.i just assumed since they have paired them selves up that it was for sure boy girl.but it has been 6 months and nothing yet ..any one know any thing....

I have a 20 month old filly that i am wanting to start. I am wanting to start her around 2 yrs, the only problem is she is maturing really slowly. She looks like she is 12 months or younger. Would it be ok to start her at 2? Or should i wait till 3 or 4 yrs old?

I have a 10 month old Lab, purchased as a 8 week old, who we bought to be a family dog. Nobody in our family is a hunter, though I know Labs are excellent trained for this purpose. Now that our dog is 10 months old, I see her natural personallity would be ideal to be a hunting dog. This is not ideal, however, for a family dog. She gets out of whatever fence or tie down we try to confine her with, she consistantly wants to be outside (we live in Minnesota) and she has boundless energy. Although we do not plan to breed her, we have also not been able to afford to get her 'fixed' either. She is a great dog but tends to be really smart which makes her extra naughty, getting into stuff and so on. We walk her, play with her and love her to pieces but we are very frustraded by her tendance to want freedom and her destroying property when kept inside the house. Maybe we should find a new loving home for our pet where she could be properly trained to hunt and she would have room to run?

My aquarium is 10 gallons, 2 months old, and has 5 adult guppies in it and 1 baby guppy. I have 3 plastic plants in there, and a thing that blows bubbles, if I lowered the water level, and put something where the frog could get to the surface, would it be OK to put some tree frogs in there?

Well, sometimes when my cat gets a little excited, he'll stare at you, not breaking eye contact and frantically move his head all around, like as if it was being restrained by something. It's a very fast, very spastic action, and at the same time he makes a sheep-like sound (not purring) that sounds like if you trilled your toungue with your mouth closed. It's a very strange sound. He also makes this sound when he's trying to get your attention. Not a meow, not a pur, but a sound like a sheep makes!

It always amazes me when people have animals they know nothing about. Some dont even know How to Feed the poor things!

Also as Dogs can be dangerous if incorrectly treated (especially SOME breeds) is it time to introduce a basic test first! Something like the basic car or motorbike test?
