Hello all. My vet tells me that a cat, like a human, can become pregnant until it is a senior. (??) He said a cat is considered a senior until she is 9 years old. I told him I thought it was 7. Maybe time to change vets? I'm also curious if an outdoor cat will roam off to make her nest when preparing for a litter. I know how long they are pregnant for and when you are able to see the signs but I'm not really sure what the oldest age is for a cat not to be able to become pregnant? Searched the internet but came up with nothing. Thanks a bunch!

Every time I open our door our cow trys to get inside. The other day she even tried to push me out of the way. I don't know what's so special about our house, but our cow wants in. My dad doesn't believe in tieing the thing up, so that's not an option. What am I supposed to do? I think I should just let her in one time and show my dad what the house looks when a cow is given freedom to roam inside! ;:(

My 13yr old cat is addicted to chicken. He has to have it every day and more then once. His main feast is cat food but he has to have his chicken. He will only eat the white meat. He does not get sick after he eats it. Chicken is just a snack, three or four times a day. He is not over weight. Is feeding him this much chicken doing him harm or is it ok?

They stay close together beyond what "the best spot in the tank" would indicate. They are both young snakes, about a foot long.

I am looking for responses from other snake owners regarding the topic, not anyone's opinion on snakes in general or the keeping of snakes.

As for me-I have just about concluded they really do show a preference for each other's company, especially when they are sleeping. Attributing an emotion to that may be going a little too far, I don't know, what do you think?

I have only seen them in the Wizard of Oz. Are they really expensive? Is that why no one has one as a pet or is it because they are difficult to handle? Are flying monkeys legal to keep in NJ and Canada?

OK so when i bought my 2 budgies the lady that sold them to me asked me what colors i wanted them to be i said yellow she then said the solid yellow i said sure ,then she said this is the male then she said and the other i said blue and then she said this is the female but i've heard from people that you cant tell a lutino's sex because they all have a pink cere is this true.I dont know if this lady knew anything about birds but she was selling alot of them she had about 70 to sell.So im not sure if she bought them and then resold them or if she actually bred budgies.

I have a 5 month old pup and we thought both ears were going to stay down, but about 3 days ago, the right one popped up and has been up ever since. Is there a chance the other one will follow? I've heard that trimming the hair around the ears doesn't help at all. Don't get me wrong, her big, floopy ears were what made me pick her and now with one up and the other down, it just makes her cuter, but I'm just curious.

Hey. My dalmation had a littler of puppies and of course they had no spots when they were born. Eventally, they all gained their spots...except one. What's with her? She's a year old and she's completely white. Is she still considered a dalmation? lol
Does it mean that there is something wrong with her, or is it just a weird thing?

I am eight months pregnant with two indoor, neutered cats (both male & are brothers) who I have had since they were around two months old. Now they are a little over two, and ONE of them has begun peeing about six months ago (I have caught him, while the other uses the box religiously). On clothes, clean or dirty, all over my baby's new playpen which we set up (ended up tossing it out when we discovered it was totally ruined), now on my futon which has been here longer than the cat and was never an issue. I took him to the vet a month ago, got him treated for a UTI, and all seemed well for about two weeks. Now he is peeing again - we are talking three times within a 48 hour period. I am ready to take him back to the no kill cat shelter where we got him. We are going to keep his brother. I keep his box clean and have tried all the tricks I have read online - nothing is working here. Any further ideas?? I do NOT need this stress . . .

My kitten was neutered yesterday and spent the night at the vet's. I picked him up today. It's been about 6 hrs and he decided to hide in the closet. He has warm ears which may be a fever.

This is a kitten that never hides. Is this common for recovery? Has anyone had any complications from neutering?

I just bought a 6 week old purebred beagle. Lately when he scratches his ears he wimpers like it's hurting him. When I bought him, he was staying outside all the time with the other puppies and his parents. He's been staying inside since I got him. Is it normal for puppies to get ear infections this early in age?

The only pet I was allowed to have as a chid was sea monkeys. Last week someone told me that they are really just sea lice. I am so sad to find this out. I hope when all you dog lovers have to pick up after your dogs...that you appreciate how lucky you are.
