I'm moving to France - and have a wonderful one-eyed ginger cat. Is he allowed to come with me or do I have to leave him in England?

Once the weather turned cold here in Michigan, I stopped feeding my pond fish. But recently, we have had some warmer days and the fish are active and looking hungry. Should I give in and feed them a little. It's going to be a long winter of hybernation ahead of them.

We usually go "walkies" at night (with halter and leash) but must desist for a while becuase (1) the weather is foul; (2) there is some kind of cat-flu or cold going around that has the vets' offices absolutely chaotic; and (3) i am feeling poorly myself.

Now the cat's got the "snits;" alternatingly sitting with a disgruntled expression or coming at me meowing REAL loud.

Tried talking to him but he just shows me his butt and trutts back to his corner.

What to do?

I bought my 2 goldfish 6 days ago and put them in a bowl of sterilised water and fed them a few flakes of fish food per day and now they are shakey, gasping for breath in the middle of the water, dimples on their skin, flapping their fins but not moving in the water. The water smells very bad and is slightly cloudy.

My female registered St. Bernard (which has been okayed by a vet to be completely healthy) is in heat. She is 2 1/2 years old and we have a male also that we are breeding with her. (He's 2 1/2 years old, but they are not related, we have a pedagree on both and a clean bill of health on him also!) What will be her most fertile time during her heat? This is the first time we have tried to breed either one of them, and we just want 1 litter of pups, and then we are going to get them fixed.

We have a 15 year old cat who is in good health. We are wondering what to expect when she passes away - will we just find our in a corner when we come home, or should we expect a giant seizure and cries of pain?

My new landlords have two large viscous dogs that we have to pass every time we enter or exit my apartment. They are kept outside all day and night and are loose behind a chain linked fence. They growl, bark, snarl and jump at us... they actually throw themselves into the fence to get at us! I am really scared and have let the landlords know - but they deny that the dogs are harmful. We are looking into moving but that wont happen for another 6 months. Neighbors already called the ASPCA but that didnt go anywhere since they are fed and sheltered.

What can we do to stop these dogs from freaking out every time they see us? We dont want to hurt the dogs at all but is there a holistic remedy that would stop the dogs from barking and attacking?

I have a 6month old Ridgeback. I was told by many breeders before I bought him that they can't be bothered to play fetch games etc as they are too independant minded. However, my pup loves a bit of a ball game and retreives for me all the time at home. Is this unusual or is the breed being badly presented by those breeders?!
Experiences please!

Last night my cat woke me up and would not let me go back to sleep or just sit under the fan. She kept hitting me until I was awake enough to realize I was having a low blood sugar attack. She followed me to the bathroom and into the kitchen and waited for me to get something to eat. After I eat and drank she just laid down on the floor like nothing was wrong. After feeling better I went back to bed and she laid next to me the rest of the night. Is this common for cats? My other cat could care less.

I do think this was an urban legend that was spread by e-mail, but then my sister told me a friend of hers found out the hard way that the chemicals in the product were hurting her cat. Anyone ever hear of this or know if its true?

I just bought a beta fish the other day. I have him seperated in a tank of his own away from my other fish. Today I go to feed him and I see hundreds of little white "worm" looking things. THey are so small that i mistook them for maybe small bits of hair. I looked closer and they are stuck to the glass MOVING. They look like worms. Has anyone ever seen this? What do I do?

For the last couple months, my kitty has been becoming increasingly bratty. Often times I will be petting her, she's purring away, and then suddenly attacks my hand- often biting it hard. She knows she's not supposed to do that, because she quickly jumps back right or runs away right after she does it. Also, even though she likes to cuddle, she doesn't sleep with me any more.

She's about 9 months old- is this the equivalent of a kitty teenager? What can be done ab out this? Thanks for any advice

My indoor cat likes to sit in the hall outside our bedrooms wailing at night. She doesn't appear to be looking at anything in particular. Why do cats do this?

Just this morning my pitbull pup became so malaised and doesn't want to eat nor drink. even just a small intake of water he throws up. My problem is there's no vet in my area. I think he's dehydrated. Am already using a syringe just to make him drink gatorade. What else should i do. I need an expert advise. please help me.
