We usually go "walkies" at night (with halter and leash) but must desist for a while becuase (1) the weather is foul; (2) there is some kind of cat-flu or cold going around that has the vets' offices absolutely chaotic; and (3) i am feeling poorly myself.

Now the cat's got the "snits;" alternatingly sitting with a disgruntled expression or coming at me meowing REAL loud.

Tried talking to him but he just shows me his butt and trutts back to his corner.

What to do?

Oh boy, what a cat! Just give him time and treats, hell come back around! Good Luck.

Having nine cats, I have learned that each one's temperament is different, just like children. Often, a single cat will be much more difficult to please than when there are others to compete for your love and attention.

Have you tried stroking him and tickling him under his neck while telling him he's such a handsome cat. I tried this with a neighbor's cat that I care for sometimes; she usually runs away when other people come in the house. She is really hurt that her owner has "abandoned" her and meows to show her pain.
So after I tell her what a beautiful cat she is, I take her in the backyard and watch her carefully. Then I lie down on the bed (her place) with her and stroke and talk softly until she starts purring and relaxing.

Also, you could try changing his food; some cats are very particular about taste and will respond to some catfoods more positively than others. If he is used to having a walk and that isn't possible, perhaps you could put him in his cage and drive around while reassuing him. (He may not care for this at first, especially if you've used the car only for vet visits. But the process may help his temperament and calm him down for the vet as well.)

Basically cats are very selfish creatures and understanding that will help you. They will put their claws into you at the slightest provocation. Or they may bite in fun or swat at you right after they have been quite content to lie in your lap. Good luck!

Awww I hope he isn't actually angry at you, he might just be feeling frustrated because you haven't been able to have your walks lately.
I understand about your cat being in a bad mood, my cat is the same way anytime it's raining and he can't go out, or if we go out and don't leave him all the food he wants.
I agree about giving him catnip, he should like that. If he likes to play with toys, try offering those as well. If he still acts mad, just hope that he'll start feeling better when you can take him for walks again.
Good luck!

Well, one thing is for sure, cats are not dogs. My dogs would never me mad at me for any length of time. Dogs are loving ALL the time. But to answer your question, I guess it's kinda like, he got mad this those paws, and he'll having to get happy again in those paws. I'm sure he'll come around. Maybe give him a special treat and tell him you're sorry.

ooooooo...no offense but cats sometimes give me the woollies! Try treats and catnip, toys. Maybe your cat will forget about what's making it "snitty".
Sorry to hear your pet is under the weather. Our dogs get kinda moody too...but never like your "puuudy cat".
Hope it gets better and good luck!:-)
