Is that bc it's instinctual (so no predators sneak up behind them?) I was just wondering bc ours flips his tail all the time while he eats.

I won't use any anti-bark collars that cause electric shocck or ultrasouds, but what about some collars that spray citronella? Do they work? And are they as humane as they sound?

Ok so we put out puppy in the hospital about 5 days ago and shes been going up and down, last night she ripped out her IV in her leg so all night she wasn't getting any meds. So it would be obvouis that she wasnt doing so well in the morning when the got to her.
They said after they put in her IV she "perked" up a little. Shes about 3 months old. A yellow lab, im so worried. She is like my child and i know the nurses are doing everything they can but i just wish i had someone with similar experiances. She just got her bloddy diahara back but thats becuase she ripped out her IV im geussing. Im just so worried i really want to know if its ab-normal for her to be in there for 5 days? They did say a couple days ago she was barking and walking around her cage so thats a good sign.

I just really want some anwsers, please please help =[

Ashley.

It's a very small black and gold kitten. I found it outside my door when I was putting out the rubbish. It's smaller than my hand. I've never owned such a small kitten before. I've had dogs and cats before but never as newborns. I have no idea what to do with it but if it's healthy, I'd like to keep it. Any advice on what to do? I was thinking about taking it to the Vet but my sister has my car. He can open his eyes a little bit.

What do I feed him? Where will he sleep? What shots dows he need when he is so young? Is there any point in looking for siblings or it's mother?

Any help would be great and very much appreciated.

If we don't let him sleep between us, he'll just stand there and whine until we give it, and we end up not being able to snuggle or anything from the puppy being there!

What's the best way to ween him without him hating us?

We have adopted an Australian Shepherd we have been told she is appr. 1yr old. We only have had her for almost a month now, the Shelter say she an Australian Shepherd mix, Our vet says she is not a mix breed but looking @ the pictures of A. Shep. on the Internet she looks like she is not a mix breed, she has the short tail (wiggle butt) and she is mostly black with tri color brown and white. Anyone out there who know a lot about this breed
do they shed their coat big time? She shed a lot !

My female puppy eats my underwear if they are laying on the floor. She eats them right at the crotch as if she is attracted to the scent of my vagina. After me and my boyfriend have sex, both my puppies try to put there noses at his crotch and smell. what is it that makes them so attracted to the scents? What do they sense? Is it the hormones? what is it????

My puppy vomited earlier today and has been moping around the house ever since. Is there anything I can do to make her feel better? I read some where else to give her pepto-bismol, but she won't take it. What should I do? (She is 10 months old.)

What would the best pair of birds be for a beginner? I was thinking cockatiels (sp) or lovebirds. Am I on the right track?
