my sister has 3 tortoises and one of them is crying. It's not injured (it has no visible injuries). It's around 5-6 years old.
What could be the reason for it to be crying?

she is 7 and very caring but i dont want to get an animal that needs lots of attention. Or expensive! I thought stick animals but dont know much about them. I dont want to get an animal that will die too quickly
i have put it off but feel that she would now be ready to take on the responsibilities of caring for sometyhing. She loves small dogs but i dont really want one! We have even discussed rats!

My alsatian is 14 years old at the moment but still looks and acts like a puppy - though he has slowed up a bit now and I was wondering what is the life expectancy for alsatians?

I have had my 10g for a few months now and so its over its startup stages, but my filter doesnt seem to be doing its job properly. So basically I need an explanation of the best type of filtration for a 10g with 3goldfish and a live plant, and a breakdown of how it works, how to install it and how to maintain it. PLEASE!

I'm discouraged, We adopted him knowing he had them, but the shelter said he was well controlled on meds and not having any. 1gram Phenobarb twice a day and he's soo groggy my husband has to practically carry him out to go potty. And he has seizures regularly at night. We maxed out on the allowed extra pills per the prescription- he is either snowed to the hilt or seizing. The pills are given12 hrs apart, with 1 or 2 extra if he has a seizure. I'm at a loss, and hubby is scared he is going to not wake up from an episode or we will accidentally overdose him.
I'm very frustrated that it appears the shelter was not quite up front about the number and severity of seizures- then again the dog only seizes during night when there is no one at the shelter to witness them.

My male rabbit is approx 1 year old and has not been castrated. He sleeps outside in a hutch and last night I woke up in the middle of the night to him thumping his back legs. He did this slowly but repeatedly. I went outside and there were no cats or anything that he may have been scared about. I put a towel across the mesh incase he was cold or something but he kept doing it.

I know rabbits thump when they sense danger, are in fear or are angry but since I couldn't find anything for him to be like this, I was wondering if there might be something else that I don't know about?

Does anyone have any answers to this? He's never done this before and is in good health and is eating fine.

won't use the litter tray, despite the fact that she was using it in the shelter. It is the kind with a roof, so I have tried roof on, roof off, I had bought Catsan litter but checked with the shelter, they used wood shavings, so I put this in on top, but no use. I have tried putting her in it (lid off) and putting her front paws in it (lid on) and she is not interested and freaks out a bit to get away. I had it in my spare room, where her other things are and she wasnt interested at all, she has been sniffing at the back door, so I put it there and she was marginally interested for about a second!

I am worried that she has not been to the toilet since yesterday, thats 24 hours without pee or poo. (I have checked the house thoroughly). She is very restless because she obviously wants to go, and I would love her to so a) she is relaxed and happier and b) I know she will be doing her peeing and pooing there when Im out.

Any suggestions please???????

Hey, my cat has urinated all over this one bedroom. The stains are old since we didnt catch on till later. Ive tried almost every spray bottle formula out there, but still have the strong stentch, so if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it ;) Thanks!
