Some of the major differences between humans and other animals are many.
As per the Buddhist religion, we humans are also one of the animal with the thinking power where as the animal without it.
Even as per the modern science , we are some kind of animal with ability to talk & express. That does not mean that they don't have feelings.
I belived that some times an animal are better human being because their love are always unconditional.

Some of you are making very generalised statements - we are not the only creatures to have opposable thumbs, to be able to solve problems, and we are not the only creatures with the ability to think and feel emotions.

The major difference between animals and humans? Humans are arrogant, whereas animals do not pretend to think they are better than every other living thing around them.

:-)

Opposable thumbs has to be one of the most important differences. Other than that, humans have a larger brain capacity, and an even larger capacity for cruelty and deception. I think animals are proof of God's love and creativity, and humans are proof of His sense of humor.

Because we're not physically fit to survive in the wild as we are, we've developed a larger porportionately brain size. Our thoughts are more complex, giving us emotions and determination. We create things to coop not having much strenth, speed or stamina; nor do we have much for defense, reflex, senses, or instinct. One can train themselves to a certain degree of accute sense or physical attribute, but we just aren't built to be natural. We do have an advantage over most animals, if we could only learn to tap into our psychic sense, we just haven't been able to learn or understand much about it; we barely scratch the surface of it's possibilities. If we could fully open our brain capacity, our abilities could be infinate.
