My female puppy eats my underwear if they are laying on the floor. She eats them right at the crotch as if she is attracted to the scent of my vagina. After me and my boyfriend have sex, both my puppies try to put there noses at his crotch and smell. what is it that makes them so attracted to the scents? What do they sense? Is it the hormones? what is it????

Dogs are so very oriented to scent..they know each other by scent, not sight..they know much about each other when they sniff..so far as gender, health, age, etc...
Some dogs hide or chew (eat) undies to protect their masters..they know that if the boogieman can't smell the master, he can't find her..so, in wild canine behavior, this would be their way of protecting the den from predators...
However, modern dogs don't have such a sense of predators, but carry over this behavior...As dogs are so scent oriented, they roll in stuff to camouflage their own scent..when a dog takes your undies and runs, she is in effect rolling in the master's scent, to camouflage her own...This makes her more powerful, as no one will mess with her now! because she smells like the master!
Lay some 'traps' for her, and when you catch her in the act, rattle an aluminum can with a penny in it.. Dogs hate that sound, and she will learn to quiit..Until then, keep them out of her reach..

It goes along the same line as why they sniff each other's butts. Scent is their dominant way of identifying things. They are attracted to the panties, because they smell like you, and they love you. I haven't figured out why they eat the panties, but I have lost a few pairs that way. As for your BF, they probably wonder why he now smells like you.

This is nasty, but I have to share. I am a tech and a good client with a young American Bulldog brought him in one day with a pair of thongs partially exposed yet unable to expell them. As the "rear admiral" (I like to call him) the doctor put on his sailing gloves and pulled the thongs out! The dog, "Milo", not only didn't care, he continued to eat the owners thongs. She was pregnant. I can only guess some dogs like the smell, but come one we are talking about animals who eat their own crap! Undies are a special treat for them.

Hay, my dog does the same thing,, he's a freak,, but he can also consume kitty fecal matter, his own barf, lick his nads, eat goose poo, and a ton of other non human consuming items... he's a 'tard,, so is your dog.. they will lick sheets, blankets, sanitary napkins, whatever,, it's got your smell on it, which is different.. man, I can't believe I'm even typing this much about it,, I'm grossed the frig out now.
Don't ponder if for too long, ... or fair game, take a whiff of his or her back end and call it even,, ~good luck!

My Shih Tzu did the same thing. To humans, underwear stink but to a dog it's just another smell. That's why they always are in each other's bums smelling away.

Oddly that is one thing my dog hasn't done - he has eaten about everything else too. All the other dogs i have ever had have done it though. Is one of Nature's cruel jokes to make you feel dirty.
My cat pees on my dirty clothes though so it makes up for the dog not eating my thongs.

dogs do these things. they are dirty, hunting animals that we humans have decided to keep as nice fluffy pets. i have two, so i'm among the freaks who thought this was a good idea. they will eat dirty diapers, cat litter box contents, lick their own butts, each other's, etc. the list is endless and gross. you'll have to get a clothes hamper with a lid!

its the smell, like dogs like to sniff butts, especially if it is female, you are female, they are sniffing for dominence, and trying to get rid of your scent, dont leave them where the dog can get them, they can get stuck in the intestines and cause a bowel obstruction.
