They stay close together beyond what "the best spot in the tank" would indicate. They are both young snakes, about a foot long.

I am looking for responses from other snake owners regarding the topic, not anyone's opinion on snakes in general or the keeping of snakes.

As for me-I have just about concluded they really do show a preference for each other's company, especially when they are sleeping. Attributing an emotion to that may be going a little too far, I don't know, what do you think?

yea... they form an attactment especially if they are in close quarters together. they are like most any other animal adn enjoy company especially sleping buddies adn someone to slither around with. i am not just bsing this hoping for a best answer but i generally agree with you and i am actually thinking about getting another one so she would have someone to hang with... my breeder says it would be nice for her but she hasnt had a companion so she is less likely to cling to someone now, but at a young age, they could and would definitely form attachments

Some snakes are more communal than others. It depends on the breed. According to Reptiles, Amphibians and Invertebrates ID and care guide corn snakes can be housed in twos or trios all year round. Personally, there are exceptions to any rule of thumb. My corn snake has a nasty disposition and although may like other corns it doesn't like people. She's a biter and they are supposed to be easy-going and nearly domesticated according to the books I've researched.

Yet I have a rat snake that is supposed to be aggressive and he is the calmest of my 4 snakes. Go figure! And good luck!

super plot, super information tale line and outlines, and right here comes the exceptions to creating it being an incredible tale ordinary (i be attentive to i'm this style of downer.) one million.jointly as you would be utilising it for consequence and what no longer, decrease than no circumstance is it ok to start a prologue, or any financial ruin or tale for that be counted, with a procedures a procedures away or some thing such as that. 2. you're writing is extraordinarily first rate, and you're making super dialouge, so i'm no longer asking you to decrease down the dialouge bc thats waiting, only upload somewhat extra non-dialouge stuff. no longer too lots, purely a tiny bit, different smart twould be ever so uninteresting. 3. end the tale! 4. it style of feels you have lots photos on your concepts in a distinctive experience as maximum novelist, you may make a stunning screenwriter, yet thats only me do what you gotta do.

Snakes don't really have the capacity to feel emotion, but I know what you mean... I work at a pet shop and we usually get 2 red-tailed boas at a time, and they always seem INSEPARABLE. They do everything together, at the same time, and are always curled up together. One pair in particular... I got pictures of them, they were very cute:-)

Snakes do have a romance for each other and they do form friendships with each other and can become enemies just like humans!
