I have a 5 month old pup and we thought both ears were going to stay down, but about 3 days ago, the right one popped up and has been up ever since. Is there a chance the other one will follow? I've heard that trimming the hair around the ears doesn't help at all. Don't get me wrong, her big, floopy ears were what made me pick her and now with one up and the other down, it just makes her cuter, but I'm just curious.

Its possible that the other one will stay down but only time will tell. A lot of yorkies have one up one down and I always thought they were so cute like that!

I have a 2 month old yorkie and we taped her ears. After 3 days we took it off and now 1 ear stands up and the other one just flops. Today we got up and both ears were up, and now in the evening they're both down. Trimming didn't work for us either. But we are going to tape again. But our other yorkie when he was about 5 months old did the same thing. His ears were up when we got him, but everytime we'd get shots or he was worn out one ear would flop.

Sometimes both ears don't go up its just your luck really, I groom a lot of Yorkies with one up and one down, and some dont go up at all. You could try taping around the floppy ear so it sticks up, just loosely tape it in place and it should stand. Failing this, I would just enjoy the cuteness lol. Hope this puts ur mind at rest a little lol. They dont all stand up.

Theres a chance but i just met a yorkie today that had one up and one down, i have seen a bunch like that, so theres always a chance.... I bet she is really cute:)
