Every time I open our door our cow trys to get inside. The other day she even tried to push me out of the way. I don't know what's so special about our house, but our cow wants in. My dad doesn't believe in tieing the thing up, so that's not an option. What am I supposed to do? I think I should just let her in one time and show my dad what the house looks when a cow is given freedom to roam inside! ;:(

I think you've got a great idea! Either that, or construct a fence separating your territory from the cow's. That shouldn't be too expensive. Well, depending on how much territory goes with the cow.

i live on a farm in Pa. have horses, sheep because we are rural enough we dont fence them in either so they wander , if my kids leave the doors open i find sheep in the house, and once i got out of the shower to find the horse very happily eating the cheese doodles out of the bowl on the kitchen counter. because they free range outside with the kids they dont seem to notice they arent one of the family. we generally just lead them back out the door and place a treat down off the steps so they kinda get the idea that they get goodies outside not in. good luck because it sounds just like my house and so far the only thing that really works is to run real fast up to the door and slam it real fast behind you.

i once knew a guy that had a mule that every time this guy would go to the barn he would use his shoulder to roll the roll of hay over so the mules could get a fresh part of the hay to eat after doing this day after day the mule starting doing it the same way he would go up to the roll and put his shoulder into it to move it over so i guess i believe after this cow watching you all going in that house everyday he's probably thinking he'll follow you and do what your doing.

no! don't let her inside because then she'll want to come in again and again. I don't know whats up with your cow but take my advise and don't let it in the house.

She walks. She talks. She's full of chalk. The lacteal fluid extracted from the female of the bovine species is highly prolific to the nth degree.

Let her in...it's the noble thing to do.

man, don't let the cow in. Next thing you'll know is that your beer is gone and your wallet is missing.

I might just be lonely and consider the family as part of its herd and wishes to be with you all.
