This morning i took my 11 wk old Italian Greyhound outside to go "duty." Well, it was dark, but I always take her to one spot since she is not fully vaccinated. Anhow, it rained last night and she seemed very attracted to this one spot. Well, I couldn't see what it was at 4am but I kept moving her away from that area. I don't know if it was her own feces that moved b/c of the rain, or another dogs, but that WAS NOT the spot she usually goes in. Well, as I left the house this morning, it appeared that the "spot" she was attracted to was poop. Okay, so now I am disgusted with thsi little pooch and am wondering why dogs do this? How much harm is there in her having done that, and is there anyway to help prevent that? I pick up after her, but since she is not 100% comfortable with going outside yet, I like to leave atleast a little something behind for her sniff and realize it's her area. Please give me some advice. This is my 1st puupy besides the one I grew up with as a kid. THanks!

I want a kitten and my husband is scared that it will scratch the leather sofa...I said if we got it declawwed it would be okay, but he thinks that it is cruel...My friend told me she got her cat done and he was fine and didn't act like he was in pain. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I bought Royal Canin food for my puppy and she will eat some of it but not all! Is it a good brand for shih-poo's (I have a shih-tzu mixed with a poodle). Should I switch to see if she will like something better. I only want the best food for my puppy!

My mollies get such puffy bellies. I heard when they get puffy like that it's because their innards are swollen due to water retention and they're actually in pain. I don't want my little mollies to be suffering! How do I un-puffify my mollies? What am I doing wrong? And no, they're not pregnant. Some salt is already in the water.

Ok, we did all the research, got a big enough cage and got 2 small female rats...one cream/white the other brown/white. The cream one was sneezing on the way home, the brown was not. Took the cream back the next day and got cream#2. Brown started sneezing and died only a week after we got her. Got brown#2. C2 started sneezing the same day that we got B2 (B2 did not meet C2) took both B2 and C2 back to petstore-bleached out cage and waited for a week. Got B3 and B4 (no creams in this batch). Again one rat started sneezing (did not open the boxes in the car so I don't know when the B4 started sneezing B3 was not sneezing at all)we have had them for almost a week, and both rats are sneezing (B4 sounds congested). We do not spray any deoderizers in my daughters room. We vac with a rainbow V. this can't be allergies! I think the breeder is sending sick rats to this store. Any thing from home that I can do? I will not spend $30 on a $3 rat. I WILL take it back to the store though. Any suggs?

I think he wasn't properly house trained. His name is Blade I take him outside and he use it outside, but he still craps in the house I punish him but in doesn't work. What can I do? I hate to punish him he so cute and I love him so much.

I bought 2 puppies at age 7 weeks they had there 1st shots before i brought them home. One came down with parvo just 2 days before he was due his second shot. I took him to vet and we couldn't save him he died this past sunday. I got his brother 2nd shot the day he died and now 5 days later this puppy got sick. He has been sick since tuesday and is in pet hospital. He has been given no fluids (not needed them yet and is eatting some). Still throwing up alittle and some loose stool. I went to visit him this morning and he wangged his tail and licked me. He doesn't look as sick as his brother did. The vet said its still early to tell...but all i have on my mind is this puppy. I thought (silly me) that my puppies would be ok since i brought them home with there 1st shot and now i am hoping and praying that maybe he will have only a mind case since he has 2 shots. Does anyone think he has a better chance of living than his brother did. Please pray for my little Turbo.he is a min chawa.

Can anyone help me find a dalmatian-chihuahua mix or any mixed breed dalmatian that stays small/medum as adult? I want it to look more like the dalmatian breed...white with black spots. But a pure dalmatian is just too big for me...can someone help!!!!!???? THANKS!!!!

My fiance' and I have two cats. Reece (girl, 2) was his from before and we got Buddy (boy, 2) about 5 months ago. They fight a whole lot, sometimes its play, sometimes it gets nasty.

Every time I yell "Reece", Buddy comes and takes the attention. I am positive that they konw the tones are different for their names. Buddy is an attention hog and won't let Reece, who is more kept to herself, have us petting her and talking baby talk to her.

It gets very annoying to have him take away her petting and loving time. How do we get the message to him that it's her turn for petting, not his? Please NO comments about getting a dog. I don't want one.

I have a 65 lb. (very large) 5 year old Australian Shepard and I love this dog. He is very protective of me, if my husband raises his voice or if a stranger comes around he will get in between me and them. Also if another dog wants to be petted he will shoulder in between us and knock them out of the way. He will bite them if they keep trying to get attention from me. I have a 2 year old and they have always played well together but I have noticed that he has started trying to get in between us when I hug her or pick her up. Is he becoming aggressive towards my baby? I never let her around him or any other animal without my supervision, I don't want to get rid of him but I am not going to risk my child, is there anything I can do about this? Also he is an outside dog, he is not allowed in the house at all. And he was neutered several years ago.

Ive just had a rabbit... shes gorgeous. When you pick her up she just sits in your arms and doesnt make any attempt to move. Does she enjoy being held or is she just scared, Id like to think she loves me but can anyone reassure me that this is true.
